Peraton Labs’ cybersecurity research protects mission-critical systems and national cyber infrastructure through a broad range of initiatives in computer network defense, cyber operations, secure-by-design techniques, and experimentation platforms.   Role and responsibility for this position: The Cyber Research Engineer will work on full-lifecycle advanced cyber capability development, starting with research prototype all the way through to eventual deployment of operational capabilities over a three-year period.  You will be part of a large team of highly skilled engineers collaborating to develop, test, and field novel operational capabilities for the Department of Defense. Past experience with DARPA or the DoD/IC research community is a strong plus. Peraton is seeking a Linux Support Team Lead / Subject Matter Expert ("Team Lead") to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will be a member of the Department of State (DOS) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). The CAEIO Program provides IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting CA services globally.   The Team Lead leverages his/her expertise in Red Hat, Oracle, CentOS, and CoreOS Linux systems, and various applications and platforms hosted on Linux Environments (Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, Puppet, Confluence, Gitlab, Splunk, Jenkins, OpenShift, Oracle Databases) to ensure smooth operation of the environment. A primary focus of this position is on engineering the CI/CD pipeline infrastructure. The Team Lead trains junior team members with patching and other O&M related tasks; understands and complies with certification and accreditation requirements; and creates and maintains SOPs. To be successful in this challenging and critical role, the Team Lead has many years of direct experience in large, multi-site environments, expert knowledge of RHEL and OEL, in-depth knowledge and real-world experience in automation, and working knowledge of databases. Responsible for translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. In support of the Operational, Planning, Implementation, and Assessment Services (OPIAS) contract, Peraton is seeking a team manager for the Operationally Dynamic Information Network (ODIN) analytics cell. - The manager will be tasked with applying artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools such as machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) towards supporting sentiment and narrative analysis, as well as evaluating the information environment (IE). - They will also be experienced in leading a diverse team of linguists, social scientists, and data scientists providing support to government customers and embedded analysts, assessments personnel, and planners. - The ODIN Team Manager will ensure that their team translates empirical research findings into United States Government operational assessments for a variety of Combatant Command (CCMD) J39s and other government customers. - Prior leadership experiences, preferably with USCENTCOM, USINDOPACOM, and USEUCOM is a highly desirable.
