Peraton has an opening for an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in Las Cruces, NM at the White Sands Complex (WSC). Peraton’s Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract with NASA provides communications support for existing and upcoming science and human exploration missions and provides an opportunity to work on advanced space to ground communications. In this role, you’ll perform a variety of EHS activities to plan and implement the Peraton EHS Management System and comply with NASA standards and EHS regulations.   Peraton is the prime contractor for NASA at the White Sands Complex (WSC) near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Operating here are two functionally identical satellite ground terminals: The White Sands Ground Terminal, and the Second TDRSS Ground Terminal. These ground terminals ensure uninterrupted communications between various ground stations, NASA’s orbiting fleet of Tracking and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS), customer spacecraft (satellites), and the computer systems that support such spacecraft.
