As a Digital Design Engineer for Peraton Labs, you will support high speed CCA and FPGA development using the latest RFSoC and MPSoC technology. In addition, you will perform FPGA development for high-speed signal process, interface to real-time software components, and system level control. The engineer will also support high speed CCA circuit design and board layout.

We are actively seeking an entry to mid-level software engineer with machine learning experience to join our team of software research scientists working on full scope polygraph research within the maryland customer footprint. The perfect candidate for this role is someone with a strong technical prowess, inquisitive and curious nature, and strong desire to learn.
Primary responsibilities may include:
- Designing, developing, and prototyping signal processing algorithms for wireless systems
- Conducting Radio Frequency (RF) machine learning research
- Implementing, debugging, and testing wireless application prototypes on third-party software-defined radio (SDR) platforms
- Communicating the results of research through customer presentations and publications
- Writing design documents, simulation reports, and system documentation
In this position with Peraton Labs, you will serve as an Autonomy Architect / Lead Autonomy Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to assist high level Army decision-makers in the development of a mid to long term science and technology development effort in the autonomous weapon systems domain.
In this role, you will be required to:
- Research and report on current and future technologies and trends in the autonomous systems field to support technology development decisions.
- Acquire and evaluate autonomy related platforms and hardware components such as robotic ground and air platforms, embedded computing solutions, sensors, and automated target detection / tracking / identification technologies.
- Develop laboratory M&S environments to support autonomy algorithm development, training, and evaluation.
- Develop prototype autonomous systems in a laboratory environment. Prototypes will require integration of COTS robotic platforms and sensor packages with a variety of weapon systems. Prototype software develop tasks will include all aspects of autonomy.
- Develop multi-system autonomous teaming algorithms and demonstrate with hardware prototypes communicating over tactical wireless networks.
- Field test prototype autonomous systems. Field tests will include evaluation of autonomous algorithms for path planning / obstacle avoidance, evaluation of machine vision / target detection / target identification / target tracking algorithms, integration with tactical wireless networks, and live fire weapon systems testing.

Electronics Engineer (EE) – As part of a dynamic, well-established replication lab, you will provide electronics engineering support. The preferred candidate will be capable to deliver schematic capture, circuit board layout and device testing. This position requires the ability to collaborate productively in a team setting.

Role and responsibility for this position:
This position is an integral member of the Peraton Labs Network Systems team supporting a customer site location with responsibilities to maintain information systems and their appropriate security posture. This individual shall have relevant working experience to perform Linux and/or Microsoft Windows system administration tasks and solid knowledge to manage the security aspects of an information system. The individual must be capable of interfacing with the customer as well as leading a team of Peraton Labs and subcontracted staff.
This position requires full time on-site work in College Park, Maryland.
Key responsibilities include
- Maintain, assess, and enhancethe security posture of a complex and diverse development environment
- Design, develop, implement, and validate best practice security configuration on computers, servers, and network equipment
- Coordinate with system administrators to assist in the development of appropriate information security functionality
- Regularly assess and develop mitigation strategies for system security risks
- Ensure Government security procedures and policies are maintained across information systems
- Design, develop, and document internal policies and procedures for system administrators andinformation system users
- Ensure all required accreditationsand certifications are obtained and/or maintained across all information systems
- Support ISSM to perform audit tasks as needed
- Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
