The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. They provide the crucial connection for commanding our spacecraft and receiving their never before seen images and scientific information on Earth, propelling our understanding of the universe, our solar system and ultimately, our place within it.   Reporting to the Facilities Engineering Manager, as a Fire Protection Design Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring quality and timely deliveries of our Fire Protection system along with additional services to customers. The design engineer requires an in-depth understanding of current Fire Protection design standards and industry processes. As a licensed Fire Protection Engineer, you will be the primary contact for customer facing project work. This key position works closely with AHJ’S and clients to ensure projects are compliant and being completed as assigned. The Fire Protection design engineer is fully responsible and accountable for the final design content and document generation to support the Fire Protection system.
