- Storage: Admins configure and manage storage resources for applications running on OpenShift. This includes setting up persistent storage, storage classes, and managing the lifecycle of storage volumes.
- Scaling and Performance Optimization: Admins need to scale the cluster as the demand for resources grows. They also optimize the cluster's performance by fine-tuning configurations and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Troubleshooting and Support: When issues arise, administrators are responsible for diagnosing and resolving them. This may involve interacting with support teams or vendors if necessary.
- Cluster Upgrades: Keeping the cluster up to date by performing version upgrades is a key responsibility. This involves careful planning and testing to ensure a smooth transition.
