Peraton is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support NASA’s Sounding Rocket Operations Contract (NSROC), which is a sub-orbital space flight program located at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility (WFF), a part of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Wallops Island, VA is a remote location.    NSROC provides suborbital launch vehicles, payload development and field operations support to NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. The program enables the collection of Earth, Heliophysics and Astrophysics science.   In this role, you will be the Telemetry Engineer for sounding rocket missions. The application will support system development throughout the entire mission life cycle including launch at remote sites. Travel is required; typical travel to the remote launch site lasts 6 to 8 weeks. The position will require an individual to be living locally to support efforts on base as well as ability to support required telework. You will work on a variety of projects, typically multiple at any one time, and will require an individual able to work individually and in a team environment.    As an Electrical Engineer, Telemetry, you will be responsible for the design, testing and field operations support related to sounding rocket telemetry systems.
