Responsible for administration, and maintenance tasks on VMWare 6.7 or higher virtualization infrastructure, and VMWare Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
The SE is responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: building, deploying, and managing ESX/ESXi hosts and virtual machine resources (CPU, memory, hard disk, network interface). Performs routine maintenance tasks (patches, updates) to VMWare infrastructure (including Horizon VDI), monitoring/verification of system functionality and availability, coordination with customers on support requirements, upgrades, support for datacenter facility issues, and system hardware issues.
Additionally, the SE works with the Cybersecurity team ensuring that the VMWare solution is documented, maintained, secured according to DoD STIGs, and ready for risk assessment as part of a system accreditation process.
What you’ll do:
- Engineer for VMWare ESX/ESXi virtualization within vSphere 6.7 or higher environment; plans and executes platform upgrade activities for VMWare.
- Plan, coordinate, manage sustainment tasks for VMWare Horizon VDI.
- Assists with patching of Windows Operating System (OS), and Application software using SCCM.
- Assists with managing Active Directory/ Windows infrastructure/domains; plans and executes platform upgrade activities.
- Participate in or lead troubleshooting and incident resolution of complex high severity incidents.
- Monitors and ensures that backup data and resilience methods are scheduled and functioning appropriately.
- Coordinates and performs operating system (OS)/firmware upgrades, patch and vulnerability management for OS and application software.
- Develop system administration documentation in support of accreditation requirements.
- Investigates and proposes solutions for development and customer needs to improve reliability, continuity, and maintainability for Windows systems hardware and software.
- After hours on-call support for critical/high severity issues.
- Updates management and project leadership for ongoing critical/high severity issues.

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a critical mission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this position you will design and plan network communications systems; provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; conduct cost/benefit analysis and provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. You will conduct testing of network design; be responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options; plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network; advise network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations; maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.; evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network; and be assigned lead responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, and oversight of associated staff.

Peraton is seeking a qualified candidate will become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.
The Investigative Analyst (CIF) role will be based in Rosslyn, VA. This role supports the Computer Investigations and Forensics team within the CTI Office.
What you’ll do:
- Provide investigative analytical support by leveraging intelligence and law enforcement databases in support of DS’ criminal investigative mission.
- Conduct data analysis from a multitude of sources to identify patterns, trends and connections between offenders, victims and other elements of an investigation.
- Identify and contextualize relevant internal, protected data with open-source or third party data sets.
- Prepare actionable crime and intelligence reports and visualizations supporting ongoing investigations.
- Engage in information sharing with DS’ criminal investigation teams and their partners.
- Stay up-to-date on investigative analysis tools and techniques.
