Operates configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new configuration management baseline operating parameters are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are logistically sustainable. May develop configuration standards for company-wide use. May train requirement engineers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of CM quality standards. The DTAMM responsibilities include executing the configuration management consistent with the LTRS CMP and generate, submit, and provide configuration control of ECPs. Support and participate in each range’s configuration control. Ensure no changes are implemented without Government approval IAW the LTRS CMP. Specific Job Description:
The primary responsibility will be to serve as a Request for Change Quality Assurance analyst. The candidate will be a member of the Program’s RFC QA Team, focused on the customer baseline through support to RFC originators and proponents, as well as the Customer Configuration Control Board/Joint Board process. The candidate will also be responsible for working with the CM workflow tool used to document and track RFCs throughout the boarding process. The candidate will be the primary technical reviewer of all newly originated documents that are entered into the CM process.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing timely response to the Enterprise regarding CM questions.
- Providing direct support to Customer Configuration Control Boards to assure accurate RFC packages.
- Serving as technical reviewer of all newly originated documents.
- Support CM process/tool improvement activities.
- Coordinating CM efforts with Documentation Team, Quality Assurance Team, Status Accounting Team and Governance Team members.
- Updating and maintaining CM templates and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in maintaining Baseline Management System (BMS) database to include maintenance of RFCs, modifications, and Additional Change Definitions, as well as report generation.
- Supporting preparation of Requests for Changes (RFC). Review, create, verify, and release RFC concepts, coordination, final, floor modification, and joint modification packages for quality and completeness and provide comments to originators and proponents.
- Provide answers to inquiries regarding CM policy & procedures, RFC, ECP, and Documentation information, and give various engineering review boards schedule insight.
Position Description:
The ASE Journeyman Operations Research Analyst will independently perform component material obsolescence, performance and qualification testing, Science and Technology, and software development analysis tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts logical analysis of management problems and management information requirements and formulates mathematical models of problems for solutions by computer.
- Prepares mathematical models of problem areas in forms of one of several equations that relate constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives and their numerical parameters.
- Gathers, relates, identifies data with variables in models by applying personal judgment and mathematical tests.
- Reviews operations and testing of models to insure adequacy or determines needs for reformulation.
- Analyzes operations methods, which require substantial competence in the rigorous methods of scientific and mathematical inquiry and analysis.
- Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success when there is no single solution.
- May be assigned responsibility for the management of the function, including associated staff.
