Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a full-time background investigator near Dallas, TX. Applicants must reside within 25 miles of the city center of Dallas. The Sr. Network Engineer must keep his or her technical skills updated. Engineers should study vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government’s needs. This position is located at the NASA White Sands Complex (WSC) in Las Cruces, NM.   Peraton is the prime contractor for NASA at the WSC near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Operating here are two functionally identical satellite ground terminals: The White Sands Ground Terminal, and the Second TDRSS Ground Terminal. These ground terminals ensure uninterrupted communications between various ground stations, NASA’s orbiting fleet of Tracking and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS), customer spacecraft (satellites), and the computer systems that support such spacecraft. WSC serves as an interface for distributing satellite data to control centers and scientists who then use the daily influx of data to expand our ever-growing knowledge of the Earth and the universe.   This position will be responsible for: - Design network topologies, architectures and services to support the information systems at the WSC and its remote sites. - Configuration of network switches, routers and firewalls. - Troubleshoot network anomalies and resolve communication disruptions. - Capture system installations and modifications within change management documentation and drawings. - Monitor network performance and integrity, and report on areas of improvement or concern. - Track, create and/or propose remediation solutions for vulnerability findings reported by the IT Security team. - Provide systems engineering technical support across the SENSE organization, technical working groups, peer reviews, technical interchange meetings, and periodic status coordination meetings.

Peraton is seeking a mid-senior level Systems Administrator to who will be responsible for maintaining MS Windows and Red Hat servers and workstations at White Sands Complex near Las Cruces, NM. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.   Our Parts Issue Supply Clerk OJT maintains, inventories, and issues all stockroom parts, supplies, and end items. Including cycle counts and preservation of customer property.  Specific tasks include:  - Performs supply functions such as binning, conducting inventories, pulling for issue, and issuing piece parts, supplies, and end items - Maintains all stockroom parts and end items at levels appropriate to supply all technician requirements, issues those parts in a timely fashion upon request, restocks bins as spares are received, and maintains inventory records and data on all stocked items, tools, and equipment - Duties include locating items as received in proper storage locations, maintaining stocks on hand, participating in cyclic and special inventories as required, re-warehousing, receiving requirements and pulling correct items from stock for issue, issuing items to requestors - Maintains records for parts, materials, and equipment. The SA supports domestic Consular facilities, working closely with government SAs as requested.   Responsibilities - Install, configure, troubleshoot, resolve complex issues, and support ongoing usability of desktop computers, laptops, SW/HW, and peripheral Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) / Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) technology. - Provide planning, installation, training, support, monitoring, and maintenance of HW (server and workstation builds) and software including all Consular Affairs applications (e.g., Active Directory accounts and passwords, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and, other locally installed CA applications, etc.) security/vendor patches/updates/vSphere Installation Bundle (VIBs), and SQL databases.   - Coordinate and inform CA/CST management of all risks impacting IT related services including but not limited to, power outages, environmental changes, natural disasters (fire/flood), employee accident or deliberate acts, maintenance, or third-party vendor actions. - Coordinate and plan for upgrades, perform monthly restores to validate user data integrity, replace HW/SW components as needed, and prepare for consolidation and decommission/retiring of HW/SW. - Perform back-ups, restores, purges and on-going management of data, systems, software and HW. - Monitor and document abnormal performance of server, workstation, and services trends as well as document and maintain site topology configuration and changes.  - Provide server/workstation security services.  - Provide remediation of vulnerabilities and ensure Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) compliance on all required devices. - Provide all hardware and software maintenance, such as defective hard drives, servers, workstations, chip/read writers, driver license readers, barcode readers, printers, digital scanners, etc. - Provide all Active Directory service/user account and password administration, and Active Directory user privilege administration and badge logon administration. - Provide end user software and Office application support. - Create, maintain, track, and communicate configurations and/or changes of configurations in HW, SW, data, permissions (or security-related information), etc. - Develop, maintain, and communicate diagrams, system configurations and technical documentation. - Provide and ensure availability, efficiency and effectiveness of systems, SW, HW, and data as well as technical support for testing and evaluation purposes. - Document, track and report on the support provided to the Consular facilities (inclusive of all levels of support and all Consular facilities), report and follow-up on all trouble calls. - Support the ISSO and ensure that security and internal controls are handled in accordance with DOS policies and procedures. - Ensure that all problems/incidents are logged into the Ticket Management System and managed in accordance with the requirements specified by the government.  Core Work Schedule: First shift, approximately 7:30am – 4pm, Monday-Friday.  Exact hours to be established by site lead.   Location: Colorado Passport Agency, 3151 S Vaughn Way, Suite 600, Aurora, CO 80014
