Peraton is hiring a Tool Maintenance/Modification Software Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a software engineeron our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site. As a Tool Maintenance/Modification Software Engineer on our team you will provide database and system requirements analysis support. You will be responsible for working with government technical leads to support and advance a proposal evaluation tool.  This will include weekly database backups and access logs to ensure appropriate space on servers and performing system administration duties including troubleshooting system issues. You will work with the ISSO to ensure SSP compliance for the system/servers including security scans, upgrading software per Enterprise requirements.  In addition to troubleshooting database issues, you will work with the rest of the team to continue modernization efforts underway using the MEAN stack, while continuing to maintain the current application; which is Java based. Current and continuing Security+ certification will be a requirement for these duties. 

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Systems Adminstrator II to perform systems administration functions in a dynamic and operational environment supporting cloud-based repositories. A successful candidate for this position has experience working with large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters and interfacing with hardware, software, security, and network teams. Experience with the following would aslo be beneficial to the candiddate: Bash, Python, and configuration management tools such as Puppet. The ideal candidate will monitor systems and resolve or escalate network and data flow alerts for cloud systems hardware, software or network issues. The candidate will be a knowledgable Linux System Administrator for large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters sustaining a strong background in troubleshooting operational system issues as they arise. As a systems engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site.
