The ML/Data Science Research Engineer with Peraton Labs will participate in an end-to-end design and implementation of deep learning solutions for application in network/graph representation learning (NRL) and graph construction/generation/completion.   The ideal candidate will be able to start from the end users' needs and understand how they drive performance and infrastructure requirements. The ideal candidate has experience converting customers' needs into user interface requirements and baselining and scaling ML solutions using CI/CD best practices.   Roles and Responsibilities: - Frame the problem, research current state-of-the-art ML solutions, and assess their suitability to the problem at hand. - Leverage deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow) to develop deep learning solutions, tailoring them to the application area. - Develop extract-transform-load (ETL) pipelines to curate large-scale ML datasets. - Leverage graph neural networks (GNN) to construct embedded/latent representations for downstream tasks. - Train ML models using automated hyper-parameter tuning frameworks. - Design data model to capture real-world phenomena using graph data structures in a space/computationally efficient design.

Peraton requires Senior Help Desk Staff to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.  Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.    The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.   The Senior Help Desk technician provides daily supervision and direction to staff members who are responsible for support to users in the areas of electronic mail, account creation and maintenance, standard desktop applications, and applications developed and deployed by the Government. Senior Help Desk requires a strong understanding of voice and data communications, LAN/WAN equipment and operations, networking, network components, vendors, and points of contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, PC, and printer problems, as well as call center support for Government programs. The Senior Help Desk technician shall provide EOC Site/Local help desk services and act as the POC for creating, responding to, and resolving end user incidents. The Contractor shall prepare responses to budgetary data calls within the standards and time frames requested to support schedule deadlines. - Support subordinate Program Offices in the following activities: defend budgets; respond to Comptroller budget review questions, what-if drills, plus-up and supplemental inquiries; respond to Congressional requests for information; and prepare briefings for the PEO BMD Chief, Chief of Staff, PEO and external authorities. - Create funding documents for HQ direct and reimbursable funding and track expenditures. - Establish customer reimbursable orders, extract/input data into/from GFEBS/BI. - Compile execution data, analysis and updates in support of monthly reports, mid-year reviews, and external execution status requests/reviews. Final work products shall have no accounting or calculation errors and no spelling or grammatical errors. - Compile data for various taskers and provide responses within established time frames. - Ability to Interpret and analyze fiscal policy (appropriations, Funding, etc…) regulations and provide written guidance to the PEO and PMs. - Coordinate NIPR and SIPR audit samples with the PMs, FM&C, AAA, DoD IG, KPMG.  Ability to interpret Business processes and correlate to the Financial Management Regulations.  Experience with the Business Standardization Process Maps a plus.  Ability to write standard operating procedures  in accordance with the Financial Management Regulations. A successful candidate for this position has experience working with large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters and interfacing with hardware, software, security, and network teams. Experience with the following would aslo be beneficial to the candiddate: Bash, Python, and configuration management tools such as Puppet. The ideal candidate will monitor systems and resolve or escalate network and data flow alerts for cloud systems hardware, software or network issues. The candidate will be a knowledgable Linux System Administrator for large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters sustaining a strong background in troubleshooting operational system issues as they arise. The Cloud Systems Administratr II will be able to perform in a fast-paced mission environment where requirements change on a daily basis due to operational and world events.     The Cloud Systems Administrator II will also be responsible for the following: - Monitor system health, - Troubleshoot system problems, - Maintain storage systems, - Interface with external teams for hardware, network, and infrastructure support, - Provide after-hours on-call/call-in support, - Ensure system security requirements are satisfied, - Participate in engineering discussions, - Create/maintain system scripts, - Patch/upgrade system, - Administer user accounts, and - Maintain hardware inventory
