HUMINT Targeting Officer

Peraton has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Information Assurance/ Security Engineer to work on-site with our team in Landover, MD. Our program provides full life cycle support for a large Information Technology (IT) system for the Department of Defense (DoD). The Senior Information Assurance/ Security Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

The Senior Systems Engineer shall provide direct Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) and Security Engineering (SE) support to the DCGS GFT (Distributed Common Ground/Surface System GEOINT Functional Team) driving implementation of the Under-Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (USDI) objectives for a multi-national info sharing environment, and serving as the SE&I enabler for NGA (serving as USDI Executive Agency) leading planning and execution of the annual premier IC/DoD Joint Services and Allied ISR Interoperability Exercise Enterprise Challenge (EC). EC offers participants a platform to conduct RDT&E integration and interoperability assessment activities for GEOINT support to the Defense Intelligence Information Environment (DI2E). The program leads interoperability testing throughout the year. Through EC, the program introduces emerging concepts and operational art-of-the-possible activities leading to new and enhanced CONOPS development. The program authors reports, documenting factual results, observations, lessons learned, and the recommended way-ahead for the Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E) interoperability and data sharing goals, with and between the US and Partners.
Duties include:
- Primary Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for Cloud based systems.

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsbile for the following but not limited to:
- Assist the Designated Approving Authority (DAA/AO) in the review of Cybersecurity packages (DICAP/RMF) for content and presentation of evidence of proper implementation of Cybersecurity requirements. - Respond to tasking from HQDA, PEO IEW&S Staff, CECOM Staff, other agencies, and Warfighters in the field as they relate to Cybersecurity for PEO IEW&S Tactical and Developmental systems. (Such as: Public Key Infrastructure & Host Based Security Systems waivers & exemptions, Windows XP, Vista, and Server 2003 elimination.)
- Maintain the APMS (Army Portfolio Management Solution) database for tracking Information Assurance accreditation status, and providing portfolio (acquisition) management oversight of all the Program Managers projects, for FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act) compliance.
- Manage and maintain on-line repository of current PEO IEW&S Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) documentation within eMASS and the Army Knowledge On-line (AKO)-SIPRNET.
- Provide Cybersecurity engineering support.
- Provide consultative service to PM staff with regard to the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and associated security controls.
- Provide subject-matter expertise for the implementation of component-level policy, coordinate exceptions to policy at the headquarters level for tactical equipment and mission requirements.
- Identify cybersecurity requirements for systems in acquisition or development to comply with published RMF requirements, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), policies, and analyze the requirements development and design process across the seven program offices of PEO IEW&S.
- Provide leadership portions of Army vulnerability management and Assess and Authorization (A&A) processes, including analyzing, reviewing, or verifying Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), evaluating the overall risk posed by vulnerabilities to Army missions, networks, and data, and making recommendations to the Authorizing Official.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Maintains current status of local weather conditions and weather trends as they influence mission support.
