Peraton is hiring a Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a systems engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site. As a SETA contractor, the engineer will advise and assist Government Program Managers (GPMs) in System Engineering activities by applying current DoD, Customer and industry best practices in Systems Engineering processes and principles.  The contractor will assist with collection/creation of system engineering plans that are essential to carrying out the strategic goals as set forth in Security Authorization capabilities.  All work is to be performed in accordance with customer and DoD policies, procedures, and plans.   Responsibilities include: Creating/improving methodology, processes, and tools.  Supporting system design and technical performance requirements. Informing government leads on status and progress of all projects.  Support setup, update, and/or review of Quality Assurance plans, Integrated Master Plans, and Configuration Management plans.  Assist in the creation, maintenance, and integration of all system engineering activities and acquisition schedules.  Provide expertise in system engineering requirements alignment goals and architectural alignment goals. Recommend and guide system engineering solutions that minimize unique external engineering system interfaces.  Advise the GPM on requirements reviews, to include security and all compliance requirements.

Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a full-time background investigator in Bowie, MD. Applicants must reside within 30 miles from the city center of Bowie. Peraton seeks a Senior Server Administrator in support of Multi-Domain Task Force - Pacific (MDTF-Pacific).    Location:  Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.   In this role, you will be part of a team of highly skilled engineers and data scientists to collect, ingest, process, analyze, visualize, and share data in support the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). The team will be responsible for the assembly of infrastructure within traditional physical server stacks and cloud environment that is scalable, highly available, and adaptable with multiple environments.  1MDTF is tasked with experimenting with new capabilities and integrating it into both new and existing environments with numerous government oriented companies. As an Enterprise Infrastructure Software Engineer on our team, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements; review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements; and document test results. You will utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the environment.

Peraton is seeking a Program Manager (PM) in Chantilly, VA to support our Department of Defense, Intelligence Community customers. The PM is responsible for managing a large team performing combined activities and work products which include programmatic and engineering planning, oversight, and delivery against customer priorities and Award Fee Plans, as well as CDRL development, staffing, and subcontracts, management to enable successful contract/Task Order (TO) execution and delivering against the Statement of Work (SOW). The PM is responsible for ensuring the successful contractual execution of the project and serves as the authoritative point of contact for the vendor on all Peraton matters. The PM interfaces with the Government Leads and Chief Engineer to ensure all positions are staffed and/or backfilled quickly with qualified personnel. The PM is responsible for planning future work, ensuring work deliverables are in compliance with cost and schedule, resolving performance shortfalls or deficiencies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating overarching Government objectives and goals for the project to the contractor team.   The PM works with the project Lead Integrators, Business Process Manager, and all Critical Staff including Key Personnel positions, as well as the Government Leads to plan and orchestrate work activities, schedules, timeline, and milestones for coordinated deliveries and comprehensive solutions. Peraton is seeking a Technician I – Mechanical who will support the United States Postal Service (USPS) Central Repair Facility (CRF) in Topeka, KS.  The CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing, delivery, and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level.  The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.    Responsibilities: - Our Mechanical Technician applies working technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks in the repair of various types of mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment  - Tests, analyzes, and overhauls electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment using manufacturer’s manuals or similar documentation, detailed drawings, cut away and exploded view drawings, electrical diagrams, and testing equipment  - Verifies dimensions using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.    - Remove, replace, and reinstall electrical and mechanical assemblies and hardware in the repair and overhaul of equipment using hand tools, power tools, hoists, precision-measuring and test equipment  - Tests items per requirements for circuit continuity and operational reliability using multimeters, voltmeters, function generators, megohmmeters and oscilloscopes.  Analyzes test results, makes repairs or adjustments accordingly  - Receives technical guidance as required from supervisor or higher level technicians.   - Performs other related duties as assigned  #USPSCRF2023

Peraton is seeking a Data Engineer who can leverage experience and expertise in data exploration, engineering, and ETL to explore, architect, develop, and deploy scripts for processing structured and unstructured data into usable data formats for long term storage, search, and analysis.      - Creating a custom ingest pipeline to a Big Data platform with consistent performance and scalability  - Understanding of programming and data engineering concepts and best practice.  - Experience working with both structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to include data parsing, transformation, schema definition, and query/analysis.  - Ability to manage and organize data while identifying trends and inconsistencies that will impact downstream analytics  - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.  - High levels of curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.  - Strong written and verbal communication skills.  - Experience with data pipelines or be willing to learn a pipeline from bottom to top  - Be able to trouble shoot files against an architecture to see where the upload process is failing.  - Be able to understand unit tests and add to them to increase stability to the entire pipeline.  - Be prepared to use, GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Anaconda, Spyder, and Microsoft tools.  - Be prepared to express ideas and solutions and walk together with teammates through coding challenges 

The Deployable Communications Manager role will be based in the DC/Metro region and tele-work may be available.  Selected candidate must be able to support occasional travel as necessary.    Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for deployable communications readiness as it relates to Response Operations. - Provide a host of Contractor-facilitated staging and communications support and services and oversee the provision of IT and deployable communications assistance in the field. - Provide a comprehensive deployable communications function - Communications Coordinator and Communications Officer - in support of response operations with flexibility, availability, and end-to-end IT equipment support and services. - Responsible for all IT devices and services, research, procurement, management, issuance, training, support, maintenance, and field support/deployment. - Perform any/all deployable communications functions remotely in the event there are safety or security risks that preclude deployment to the disaster location. - Track all deployable communications and specialized equipment inventory and financial services in the ITSM Tool (ServiceNow™) for transparency, tracking, and monitoring. - Continuously ensure all readiness and response-specific processes are documented and maintained. - Continuously ensure all readiness and response-specific processes. *Contingent on Contract Award*

Working with systems engineers and researchers, you will be responsible for writing fast and efficient code for processing packets in high-throughput networks, developing and managing a pipeline that integrates machine learning models with existing intrusion detection capabilities, and enabling the transition of research prototypes to new environments.
