Peraton is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to support the design, development and maintenance of SIGINT based applications for our Intelligence Community customer.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for the development, integration, unit test, deployment and maintenance of updates to deployed software components. Candidate will implement new software to develop capabilities in an environment based on a fast-paced agile methodology. Working with end user Analysts, Systems Engineers and Software Developers, the candidate will execute planning, design, development, and productization of applications for complex electronic data processing systems. The candidate will also interface with project managers and customers on a regular basis, so excellent communications skills and willingness to collaborate are a must.
Peraton has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced IT Operations Service Owner Lead to provide technical leadership, contractor management, direction, administration, and leadership of the execution of his/her respective site’s requirements for the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) in support of United States (U.S.) Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The IT Operations Service Owner Lead will be responsible for assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising ongoing SITEC 3 EOM technical efforts, coordinating with the USSOCOM TPOC, and managing the overall site service delivery performance of their assigned command / location.
The IT Operations Service Owner Lead must be self-motivated and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally. The IT Operations Service Owner Lead must have good management and communication skills to interact and coordinate effectively with both internal and external executive leadership teams.
The IT Operations Service Owner Lead is responsible for the efficiency of System and Network Infrastructure Services, End-User and Common Device Services, and Service Management, including managing technical issues and business processes on site; managing and responding to Government issues, concerns, and comments; and alerting the Government proactively to potential contractual or programmatic and resource limitation issues. The IT Operations Service Owner Lead will be the main interface at their assigned site between the USSOCOM end customers, the applicable SITEC3 EOM Deputy Program Manager, and the supported Component or TSOC J6/G6 management staff while providing input into the management activities within his/her functional area. The IT Operations Service Owner Lead will manage Contractor and subcontractor staff on site, ensure staff development for retention, and work with third-party vendors applicable to his/her site as needed. The IT Operations Service Owner Lead may manage teams of contract support at multiple locations as necessary. The IT Operations Service Owner Lead is required to organize, direct, and manage all support functions applicable to SITEC 3 EOM Service Delivery for multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks within the scope of their assigned site(s). Must be able to review task plans and deliverable items, and manage schedules in line with budget. The IT Operations Service Owner Lead will ensure all personnel within his/her responsibility receive adequate guidance and direction for performing their daily tasks and will be responsible for developing/presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and submitting project status reports as required.
Typical Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Management, leadership, development, and retention of the infrastructure and operations technology team, including training initiatives, mentoring, and performance coaching.
- Supporting the Component or TSOC Deputy Program Manager as assigned with supplying various reporting of issues and managing day to day activities with direct contact, as well as other senior program staff as appropriate.
- Customer success and relationship management interfacing with Component and TSOC leadership and the USSOCOM TPOC for effective resolution of site-related issues.
- Attending high visibility conference room discussions and relating technical matters to Peraton and USSOCOM leaders in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide periodic performance assessments of site support to leadership and government staff; and participate in / provide subject matter expertise in vendor relationship management meetings as required.
- Build successful stakeholder relationships with other service and operational leaders by developing a clear understanding of service needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
- Devise, establish, and improve site-specific IT processes, policies, and systems to enable and accelerate the implementation of strategies set by leadership. Make recommendations to improve enterprise service delivery and management processes as appropriate.
- Lead site infrastructure project reviews with both project leaders and stakeholders.
- Track and support site project leaders with resolution of major project roadblocks as required.
- A level of knowledge with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) combined with Hybrid Cloud solutions is required. Working with other platform owners/peers collaboratively in this space, troubleshooting and innovating with subordinates managing HCI directly.
