This position is currently not funded but for an anticipated future need.   Location:  This is a full time onsite position in Bethesda, MD.   Peraton is looking for an R&D Electrical Engineer.  In this position, you will be working within a government-contractor team on the development, integration, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of research and development electronic systems used during naval vessel sea trials.   Responsibilities include the following:    - Development of analog and digital circuitry for processing of waveforms received and transmitted via underwater transducers. - Electronic systems, components, or circuits are often used in rugged, compact equipment able to be carried on to a submarine. - You will be evaluating operational systems and recommending design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements. - You will be using National Instruments data acquisition devices and LabVIEW software, including graphical user interfaces, to develop and troubleshoot high-precision systems for test vessel tracking and position monitoring.   Travel to naval bases and aboard naval ship will be required, up to 20%, including lifting and carrying items up to 40 pounds in weight, working in confined spaces, and climbing vertical ladders.
