Peraton is seeking a CNO Firmware Developer with hard drive firmware development experience to support a critical mission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD.  In this position you will perform a combination of software design, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research.   Responsibilities may include: - Develop software capabilities taking into account the underlying hardware on which they run - Optimize algorithms and software implementations in order to meet requirements such as binary size, utilization, and performance - Perform Agile development, accurately estimating the time to complete tasks - Respond to time-sensitive operational requirements - Understand how malware is detected by personal security products and/or network monitoring and methods to evade such detection - Develop and execute comprehensive testing of software products (e.g. unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests) - Develop software implants that have network communications and the ability to persist across reboots - Document software designs, explain performance tradeoffs made, and decompose high-level designs into specific software development tasks - Develop, find flaws in, and modify complex algorithms that span multiple layers of abstraction - Recommend new technologies and processes to achieve assigned goals

Peraton is seeking an Industrial Systems Engineer to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals. The idea candidate will work at the United States Postal Service (USPS) Central Repair Facility (CRF) in Topeka, KS. The CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing, delivery, and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations. This position is an on-site position with no ability to work remote   Our Industrial Systems Engineer performs a variety of engineering research and or product development in a test engineering discipline such as electronic, electrical, systems and mechanical engineering. Ability to use advanced theory, mathematical, scientific, or engineering principles to solve problems, conduct testing, prepare documentation, create applications, or devices in the completion of their work. Assist and design and develop systems to test and validate solutions for repairable items. Specific tasks include: - Design, develop, and operate systems that deliver products and services - Assist in design, development, and modification of systems, end items, machines, and associated test plans - Provide technical support in assessments of determining repairable item status based on test requirements - Support design and/or fabrication of electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems, assemblies, and subassemblies - Contribute to design modifications through CAD and schematic software - Contribute to the completion of assigned technical tasks and provides customer support in the engineering discipline - Represent the organization and provides customer support - Ability to work in a team environment - Assist in reviewing procedures to ensure that the test and repair process is adequate for level of testing - Review and evaluate failure data received from field locations, and offers recommendations for resolutions - Offer technical solutions to a broad spectrum of difficult problems - Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives - Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects - Contacts are with immediate supervisor, project leaders, other professionals in the section or group and limited customer interaction - Conduct briefings and participate in technical meetings for internal or external representatives concerning specifics to operations - Perform other related tasks as assigned #CRF2023

Senior Windows Systems Administrator that has experience in VMWare virtual hosting environments, MS Windows Server 2012-2019 administration, Windows PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, VDI and NetAPP storage solutions. Applicant should be able to design and develop complex solutions without assistance from peers. Daily duties include O&M of virtual environments, patching, updating anti-virus and resolving security vulnerabilities. Should also be able to review peers' designs and ensure solution is sound. Must be able to work in a large team environment and collaborate when needed.    Duties and Responsibilities: - O&M of large virtual hosting environment consisting of approximately 300 servers across 10 systems.  - Must also provide tier 2/3 support of Windows environment from a sys admin perspective 

Senior Network Engineer to be part of a team responsible for the design, migration, implementation, enhancement, optimization and maintenance of LAN/WAN/Video/Voice/desktop infrastructure. This position will work with engineers on various technical projects. This could include but not limited to network consolidation and integration, architecture designs and updates, site renovations and relocations.   Primary Responsibilities: - Provide technical expertise and assist with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple systems environments. - Addresses and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity relating to the installation and upgrade of network hardware and systems. - Interface with customers, vendors and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements. - Document engineering standards, supports the development of network architecture and engineering designs and changes. - Assist in evaluating current and emerging technologies, conducts technical assessments and makes recommendation to senior engineers. - Strong interpersonal and customer service skills - Effectively complete individual projects and tasks with some oversight.

The primary responsibility will focus on isolating, reviewing, analyzing, and reverse-engineering malicious binaries to determine functionality and capability. The candidate will analyze samples and provide a written technical report related to the scope, nature, and characteristics of the malicious code. This position also includes the opportunity to advise on direction of an automated malware triage system.
