Peraton is hiring a transition and decommission (T&D) Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a systems engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site. As a T&D Systems Engineer on our team you will provide transition and decommission support services to a data flow and routing solutions team to support the transition and decommission of legacy systems. Required support includes documenting system functionality, features, interconnections, dependencies and performance and degradation. You will support configuration management functions by creating visual representations of the system, depicting system inputs, servers, processes and system outputs (configuration management). Responsibilities include: - Support T&D requirements and processes to include project planning/management/monitor/control, and risk/mitigation management. - Assist with developing, evaluating, documenting and creating new system designs, facilitating technology transition, and evaluating solutions. - Document and/or validate the current system design against the as-is implementation. Peraton is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support our National Programs Intelligence Systems & Application Operating Unit. The SITE III ITS Task Order effort is charged with the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of mission applications and services for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).    The ideal candidate will be responsible for all Operation & Maintenance (O&M) tasks and maintaining operational baselines and performance of application O&M activities to include: patching, database performance monitoring, and customer support. When necessary the candidate will troubleshoot database performance issues and recommend appropriate action. Candidate will work closely with members of the project team, product subject matter experts, end users, and software engineers to ensure that the application remains operational by monitoring Fperformance, providing technical assistance, and consultation to users. Provides asset management services and inventory control analysis to maintain consistent accountability of Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) assets supporting the SIE. Asset Manager documents and coordinates shipping and receiving of ADPE assets, accountability of inventory, short term storage facilities of computer/communications-related assets, and distribution of hardware, as directed by the Government. The Asset Manager ensures that ADPE hardware and software are properly received in an ITSM approved database, documented in accordance with Personal Property Management (PPM) requirements, stored, and disbursed to the required user to maintain good supply and accountability of ADPE.
