Peraton requires a Training Specialists to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitates the execution of all training programs.
- Plans, designs, and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel using the PADDIE methodology. Formulates teaching outlines and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
- Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Collaborates with sales, marketing, and engineering to identify program needs, obtain technical data and schedules programs.
- Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
- Confers with management, employees, and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
- Develops training in support of Automation Infusion Team activities to facilitate rapid user adoption of delivered automation innovations.
- May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.
- Some positions may require working a non-traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

Peraton is seeking a motivated Senior Aerospace/Propulsion/Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineer to join the team supporting the NASA Launch Service Program (LSP) at the Resident Office located in Hawthorne, California.
This position will provide onsite engineering and oversight activities at the SpaceX contractor facility. The primary role will be to evaluate the Falcon 9 launch vehicle design, development, manufacturing, testing, processing, and troubleshooting of propulsion and avionics subsystems used by NASA’s LSP commercial launch services. In addition, the candidate will perform as the liaison supporting and creating technical and program relationships with the commercial launch provider and associated suppliers/vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform as the primary liaison between the NASA customer and the launch vehicle provider (SpaceX)
- Extensive communication with NASA and the commercial launch vehicle provider management and senior engineers
- Provide expert insight into the Falcon 9 launch vehicle propulsion and avionics systems, designs and analyses
- Evaluate and present at NASA Engineering Review Boards on technical issues, concerns, and recommendations that affect NASA missions
- Actively participate and contribute to Design Reviews, Engineering Review Boards, Anomaly Boards, as well as vehicle component Acceptance and Mission Success Reviews

As a Data Scientist on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Data Scientist on our team you will provide support and related services to help simplify, automate, and hasten data movement across the mission platform. The successful individual will perform end-to-end systems engineering for data flows from the perspective of data modeling, data mapping, and support to implementers and mission customers. This position requires strong software and systems engineering expertise across the full life cycle of data and limited need for high-level direction. Key activities include:

Peraton is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the Deep Space Network (DSN) program in our Fort Irwin, CA location in support of NASA/JPL. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION and is expected to end on December 22, 2023.
The Deep Space Network is NASA’s international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. They provide the crucial connection for commanding our spacecraft and receiving their never before seen images and scientific information on Earth, propelling our understanding of the universe, our solar system and ultimately, our place within it.
This position reports to the Facilities Supervisor and functions under general direction. The successful candidate performs a variety of overhaul and repair of industrial heavy-duty equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Performing all manner of heavy equipment operation, maintenance and repair including front end loader, backhoe, road grader, dump truck, forklifts, truck tractor/trailer and manlifts, skid-steer, service truck and heavy trailers
- Performing roadwork such as grading, packing, Asphalt patching and Crack-sealing
- Performing preventative maintenance on industrial diesel engines, power generation system and facility heavy equipment in accordance with manufactures procedures and recommendations
- Performing rebuilds/overhauls and repairs on the facility’s industrial diesel engines, Propane generators and facility heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all site heavy equipment
- Responsible for maintaining maintenance records on site and in organized manner for State regulations on diesel engines and equipment.
- Responsible for researching and ordering needed parts and equipment for repairs and rebuilds on all heavy equipment
- Responsible for inputting work order status and information into the sites maintenance tracking and management system (MAXIMO)
- Performs other duties as required
