Peraton is looking for a System Administration Lead who will be responsible for the oversight and management of a team of system administrators, as well as provide subject matter expertise and insight to the team. The position is located at the NASA White Sands Complex in Las Cruces, NM.
Peraton is the prime contractor for NASA at the White Sands Complex (WSC) near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Operating here are two functionally identical satellite ground terminals: The White Sands Ground Terminal, and the Second TDRSS Ground Terminal. These ground terminals ensure uninterrupted communications between various ground stations, NASA’s orbiting fleet of Tracking and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS), customer spacecraft (satellites), and the computer systems that support such spacecraft. Primary roles and responsibilities:
- Direct and monitor the daily activities of the system administrator team.
- Develop efficiencies within the system administration group to best determine balanced workloads based on skillsets.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the area of system administration to direct reports, as well as project management.
- Create, manage, and maintain HR documentation for all direct reports, including training certifications, yearly goals, and performance improvement plans.
- Assist Department Manager with the creation and presentation of contractual deliveries and reports to NASA.
- Closely work with the IT Security lead and ISSO formulate plans of action for any type of system vulnerabilities.
- Monitor IT Security reporting software programs daily to identify system vulnerabilities and establish remediation plans with direct reports.
- Serve as an audit and/or compliance lead for the system administration group.

Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a full-time background investigator in Terre Haute, IN. Applicants must reside within 20 miles from the city center of Terre Haute.
What you’ll do:
The Investigator will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Successfully complete a full time, 6-7 week new Investigator training both virtually and in person in order to be certified in the Federal Investigative Standards for government background investigations
- Travel daily when conducting in person background investigations for the purpose of determining employment suitability of persons who require access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information
- Investigators will schedule and conduct face-to-face interviews throughout their designated area with the subject and their neighbors, employers, friends and family
- Investigators will also perform record searches at police agencies, courthouses, educational and financial institutions, and medical/mental health facilities

Peraton is hiring a Technical Writer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Linthicum, MD. As a technical writer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site. As a Technical Writer on our team, you will provide support for our customer’s Data Normalization Analysis effort.
You will:
- Create process documentation, migration plans, and program-level Systems Engineering documents,
- Support the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of customer issuances: Operational Directives, Memos, Congressional Notifications, Emergency Directives, and technical documents.
- Conduct and facilitate the document review/revision process to reconcile comments. Document and maintain comments matrix noting resolution. Coordinate comment adjudication with SME, author and/or the customer team.
- Write and edit technical documentation for all office issuances. Produce how-to documentation and job aids for customer processes and procedures. Create and produce SOPs for customer processes, including SSOR, process flow documentation and format publications, technical drawings, in consultation with SME and other available resources.
Oversees the editing of material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications. Edits manuscripts by reviewing content for completeness, accuracy and correctness of language use and revises manuscripts to meet predetermined standards of style and accuracy. Looks for inconsistencies of thought, development or organization. Confers with authors to recommend treatment of material. Reorganizes, cuts or rewrites as necessary. May edit copy as well. Allocates print space for story text, photos, and illustrations according to space parameters and copy significance, using knowledge of layout principles. Plans the contents of publications according to the publication's style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements. Verifies facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources. Oversees publication production, including artwork, layout, computer typesetting, and printing, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget requirements.
Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency. Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields. Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text. Peraton seeks a Project Manager / Senior Engineer to support the NETCOM Enterprise Computing Environment Directorate (ECED) with the daily oversight, security, and messaging of Army 365 (A365).
Location: Fort Huachuca and/or remote.
The team will obtain approval and share reciprocity for any and all approved migration tools available to Army Commands to migrate SharePoint and File Share content to A365. Similarly, the team will make the Authority to Operate (ATO) available for all applications and distribute to local Network Enterprise Centers (NECs) to ensure that Commands can download and utilize all applications to execute their migrations.
Tasks include:
- Lead overall SPO program, overseeing the SPO transition and migration, and representing SPO on the A365 Configuration Change Board (CCB)
- Lead overall SPO program for File Share Migration and OneDrive Migration
- Activate Capabilities Requirements Board (CRB) to process change management requests and integrate with CAB Process
- Serve as lead/liaison for the Power Platform (SPFx, Power Apps, Metadata, etc.) WGs
- Stand up/lead MCLA round table meeting and stakeholder engagement efforts via MCLA/CHA networks.
