Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer in support of Strategic Innovation Group’s information assurance and information technology operations. This is a full-time on-site position working out of Peraton’s Silver Spring, Maryland office with occasional travel to our other facilities in New Jersey and New Hampshire.   Responsibilities include but not limit to: - Manage classified and unclassified information systems running flavors of Linux and Microsoft operating systems; perform monthly system patches outside of the normal business hours - Apply security controls based on the DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidance - Build, install, maintain, effectively troubleshoot, and make enhancement to information systems, IT services, and network devices-- include operating system, hardware, firmware and software application - Perform regular data backup; recommend and implement enhancement to data backup solutions - Perform a Weekly audit (review of logs) for each accredited information system. - Identify root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies - Manage security vulnerabilities; implement remediation timely; monitor security logs for violations and anomalous events; report information security concerns and problems when necessary; - Provide support to Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for the ISSM Roles and Responsibilities as laid out in DAAPM 2.2, JSIG Rev 4, ICD-503, and other applicable documentation. - Prepare, deliver and update all required documentation using the current approved templates, forms, regulations, and methods. - Work closely with the key stakeholders to identify any additional controls that are applicable to the system(s) to maintain a favorable security posture. - Assist in incident response and annual self-inspection and inventory efforts. - Track the deployment of software to the environment. - Generate Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms) for each non-compliant control, manage all applicable POA&Ms throughout the information system lifecycle. The candidate will support PFR system development and integration through working with an interdisciplinary group of scientists and engineers, interfacing with IPT members from Academia, Industry, and Government, reviewing technical design materials, providing recommendations, conducting analysis tasks on advanced signal processing techniques and radar data, documenting project plans, system engineering artifacts, derived subsystem requirements and test planning and execution/support.   Responsibilities include: - Planning, implementing, and pro-actively correcting issues related to performance and technical risk management for PFR efforts - Providing support and subject matter expertise in various PFR disciplines related to the design, development, and testing of PFR systems and integration with armament systems, including high accuracy ground based radar systems tracking projectiles, threats (for some missions) - Enabling advanced capabilities through a Radar to Munition Datalink for Command guidance and Navigation support - Developing and utilizing modeling and simulation tools related to radar systems, signal processing, and tracker algorithms - Conducting technical analysis to evaluate performance of existing radar systems, suggesting methods of improvement of radar performance, and assessing future system performance in new mission areas

This candidate will function as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to multiple Peraton Labs programs supporting a variety of customers. The position is in our Bedford, NH office.   The ideal candidate would be proficient and capable of execution of duties pertaining to Special Access Program (SAP) personnel security, physical security, and information security. Implement security processes necessary to protect classified information, with strict adherence to 32 CFR, DoD 5205.07 Vol 1-4 SAP Security Manual, ICDs and other applicable Executive Order and DOD regulations.   Daily Responsibilities: - Administer and coordinate security activities in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with National Policy. - Establish and maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractor employees, and managers. - Administer all day-to-day program, operational and administrative support to PMO, government, program personnel and vendors. - Develop, review, and maintain Program Protection Plans, Security Classification Guides and Policy documents. - Provide classification management support and reviews. - Administer security indoctrinations, refresher briefings, and debriefings. Update all security management systems with personnel actions taken. - Operate and maintain a security education training and awareness program to include indoctrinations, annual refresher training, debriefings, and program specific training. - Effectively manage all phases of an inquiry or investigation. Prepare incident reports and mitigation requirements as necessary. - Attend and support program team meetings and provide program guidance, decision, policies, and procedures. - Oversight of the processing of new employee security clearances to include actions within government systems of record DISS, JADE, eCPRL. - Responsible for interpreting policies and develops/implements appropriate security plans and procedures. - Pass and exceed minimum expectations with government assessments and inspections. - Perform other duties as required.

The Networking Systems RF Design Engineer at Peraton Labs will support RF design for a mmW RF front end to a high speed signal processing system. The responsibilities will include RF simulation, implementation, and testing. The RF engineer will also support board layout and design for test prototypes as well as form factor optimization. In this position with Peraton Labs you will serve as a member of an experienced engineering team responsible for development of next generation counter unmanned aerial system (CUAS) solutions.  Your role will be to develop the real-time Linux / C++ based software which controls all aspects of the CUAS precision targeting system.  This position will require approximately 15% travel to various military test ranges across the US and internationally.   What You'll Get to DO: - Develop C++ software in a Red Hat Linux environment.  You will be responsible developing modern, real-time C++ code within our team’s application infrastructure.  You will use Conan to manage software dependencies, Gitlab for distributed source code control, Jira for issue tracking, and CMAKE for build configuration.  - Develop and test interfaces to a wide variety of external systems.  Your software will interface with the external environment through a number of protocols including ethernet, CAN bus, RS232, RS422, RS485, discretes, and USB.  You will develop implementations of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) which enable your software to perform motion control, consume targeting data, and control external weapon systems.  Interface testing will be conducted via simulators of external components running in our System Integration Laboratory (SIL). - Travel to support field tests.  Your software will generally be tested at a live-fire test event.  You will travel to and setup your system and its required support equipment – to include military systems / weapons.  You will support test data collection, system and software troubleshooting, and may participate in the test by serving as the test operator for your software and related systems.
