Peraton is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to join our team to support NASA’s Near Earth Network projects in Greenbelt, MD. As prime contractor on the Space Communications Network Services (SCNS) contract, Peraton is responsible for the operation, maintenance, sustainment and systems engineering of NASA’s worldwide satellite communication networks.
This position will involve the design, integration, and test of new satellite ground station hardware and software systems. The selected candidate will support senior engineers in ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Under the direction of senior engineers, the junior engineer will aid in the performance of functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, and system level designs.
