  • Overview

    Peraton is seeking a seasoned Flight Safety Watch Stander, an experienced professional with a holistic understanding of the overhead collection enterprise.  This role will support our Intelligence Community customer in Chantilly, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide operational support to mission critical systems including performing orbital and radio frequency analysis
    • Prepare and translate technical terms into non-technical terms for reports to customer and senior leadership
    • Work collaboratively in an operations environment under only very general direction independently determines and develops approaches to solutions in a high tempo environment
    • Troubleshoot minor hardware and software errors
    • This position requires 24/7 support, via 12-hour rotational shifts

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a technical field
    • Two (2) years of Astrodynamics orbit analyst education or experience
    • Two (2) years of satellite or space operations experience

    PREFERRED: 

    • Three (3) years of Astrodynamics orbit analyst education or experience
    • Three (3) years of satellite or space operations experience
    • Experienced using Perl scripts, STK, Matlab, Microsoft Office products, especially Powerpoint and Access.
    • Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in a technical field. 

    SECURITY CLEARANCE:

     

    This position requires the candidate to already have a current TS/SCI with consent to Polygraph security clearance and to maintain the clearance
