  • Overview

    Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a Subcontracts Manager in our Greenbelt, MD location to support our NASA customer. The position will be responsible for managing a team of subcontracts administrators through all cradle-to-grave subcontracts activities.  Due to program complexity, experience as a subcontracts manager is a key requirement, as well as experience with Contractor Purchasing System Review audits. 

    The selected individual must demonstrate a understanding of proposal activities and general supply chain principles are also necessary to be successful in the position. This individual must be an active listener, lead by example, and exhibit a collaborative, consultative, team-oriented leadership style. Preference will be given to a strong candidate in Greenbelt, Maryland, however, Peraton will consider a remote candidate with ability to travel.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the uniform implementation of subcontract requests for proposal, subcontractor cost and/or price analysis, subcontract negotiations, subcontract administration and amendments.
    • Provide and administer interpretation of subcontracts and amendments and other subcontract documents.
    • Assist during DCAA/DCMA Procurement audits.
    • Develop solutions for complex procurement problems effecting company compliance and ensures satisfaction of legal requirements, federal regulation and public law, customer objectives, and ethical business standards
    • Provide subcontract group support for prime proposals to Government customer.
    • Act as liaison between subcontractors, Subcontracts department and technical personnel to ensure supplier performance.
    • Monitor, provide input and assist in small business subcontract reporting.
    • Oversee the selection of subcontractors during source selection.
    • Work with Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchasing functions to help develop department policies and procedures.
    • Participate in cross functional planning and implementation for projects and programs.
    • Interface with accounts payable for the timely payment of Teammate and Subcontractor invoices.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or an equivalent amount of experience
    • 10+ years of experience working in supply chain functions including supplier selection/competition, negotiation and procurement planning for on-program work.
    • 4+ years of supervisory experience specifically in a subcontracts role.
    • Proven skills in preparation, negotiation, execution and interpretation of various subcontract types: firm fixed price (FFP), time & material (T&M), cost plus award fee (CPAF), cost plus fixed fee (CPFF), cost plus incentive fee (CPIF) and master level agreements (IDIQ, BOA, MSA).
    • Strong understanding of FAR and FAR Supplements
    • Experience with demonstrating strong attention to detail.
    • Experience utilizing strong written and verbal skills.
    • Experience in demonstrating success in efficiencies to customer and/or internal projects through targeted supplier engagement.

    PREFERRED:

    • NASA Experience
    • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, team environment to adjust priorities to meet critical deadlines.
    • Ability to take a leadership position in a program team environment.  

    SECURITY CLEARANCE:

     

    This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.  To obtain a clearance candidate must be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
