    Seeking a Research Associate II in the area of cybersecurity to provide technical and functional support to the Office of the Director, Defense Research and Engineering for Research & Technology in Alexandria, VA (Mark Center). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a technical and scientific research environment comprised of a highly technical customer base. This opportunity will help broaden candidate's perspective of issues involved in science and technology policy and program management.


    • Perform a wide range of duties at client site with other contractors and government officials.
    • Support day-to-day administration of Government official’s schedules and plans.
    • Track and coordinate oversight of cyber financial support and execution of financial requests.
    • Develop briefing materials for Government officials for use/presentation across a variety of fora.
    • Serve as a focal point for cyber meetings, providing logistical support.
    • Provide independent services and leadership in specialized technical areas.
    • Provide expertise on an as-needed basis to all task assignments.
    • Coordinate with contractor management and/or Government personnel to ensure that the problem has been properly defined and that the solution will satisfy customer requirements
    • Provide technical support to appropriate working group forums that include program reviews and technical assessments of projects.



    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other related technical field.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience required.


    • Strong communication skills, to include written material and verbal interactions, briefings, and meeting moderation
    • Ability to work independently with senior staff in a distributed environment while maintaining a strong commitment to deliverable(s) scheduled
    • Strong time-management and organizational skills
    • Ability to work in highly dynamic working environment
    • Ability to understand abstract cyber security concepts
    • Strong ability to gather and interpret data
    • Highly proficient with standard MS Office tool suite
    • Strong team player and people skills



    This position requires candidate to have a Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret//SCI clearance.
