  • Overview

    We are currently seeking a senior FPGA Hardware Design Engineer to support our customer in or around the Fort Meade, MD area.


    The candidate will be responsible for the following: Designs, documents, and develops code (to include firmware) for Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware. Lead the efforts of other designers for the design and testing of FPGA circuits and other hardware components for a wide variety of applications and research. Analyzes the function of existing FPGA integrated circuits and hardware components.



    Required Qualifications:

    • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
    • 7+ years of experience in FPGA design
    • Apply FPGA place and route (P&R) tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs
    • Perform the de-processing of electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures
    • Lead the designs of new products and processes and improve and maintain existing products
    • Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers
    • Experience with VHDL or Verilog
    • Experience developing on Altera or Xilinx hardware
    • Experience developing and modeling algorithms in Matlab


    Desired Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with electronics design principles and high-speed signaling
    • Experience with Digital Signal Processing and Software Defined Radio implementations
    • Experience working with and integrating third-party IP
    • Experience with C/ C++



    This position requires the candidate to already possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and to maintain the clearance.
