    Peraton is seeking a proven professional for the role of Business Development Executive for US Air Force.

    The Defense & EW Sector creates solutions that result in information dominance during warfare. We work to fuse R&D expertise and operational services experts to provide solutions to our customer’s existing and emerging problems. Our focus areas include C4ISRW, Information Security and Autonomous systems.


    The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Business Development. The selected candidate will operate as an integral part of the leadership team of the Defense & EW Sector, partnering with the Sector President and functional staff to drive growth of the Sector. The selected candidate is responsible to develop broad knowledge of customers, understanding of competitors, and maintain an awareness of the effects of market dynamics. He/she will evaluate market trends and develop business cases that align customers’ needs/opportunities with Peraton’s capabilities and discriminators.


    The successful candidate collaborates throughout the company to effectively communicate with a wide range of customers, stakeholders, and industry peers; is integral to establishing trusted relationships between Peraton personnel and their peers within his/her external customer base; and enhances customer knowledge and acceptance of Peraton’s products, solutions, and services. Success in this role is ultimately measured by meeting and exceeding acquisition and financial targets aligned to the Sector and company goals.


    A qualified candidate will have:

    • Demonstrated a successful and track record of supporting and winning contracts with US Air Force, DoD, other federal agencies.
    • Proven experience building relationships with strategic teaming partners (prime and sub).
    • Developed and mature key relationships within the customer’s organizations, focusing in Air Force Research Lab at Rome New York and Wright Patterson AFB; AF Lifecycle Management Center at Hanscom AFB and Warner Robins AFB; Air Combat Command and Headquarter Air Force
    • Ability to operate independently but still retain an enterprise focus


    • Manages resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities that result in measurable revenue growth
    • Achieve acquisition and sales goals through winning new business, contract recompetes, and organic program growth
    • Develop and maintain an active strategic growth plan in alignment and consistent with corporate strategy and goals
    • Primary interface with customer community and building customer relationships through effective communications, both with internal and external customer bases
    • Develop strategies to "shape" requirements and acquisition strategy
    • Identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships
    • Embrace the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily activities, and effectively communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teams.
    • Assist in guiding buying organizations by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests for information (RFI), market survey’s, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations



    • 13+ years related work experience with a majority related to business development, marketing, or technical and engineering solutions with the US Air Force.    
    • Current understanding of client’s needs in order to align Peraton strengths and core values.
    • Must demonstrate high energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism and commitment.
    • Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clients.
    • Bachelor’s degree or additional equivalent military or work experience




    • Prior experience working directly for US Air Force, DoD, and other federal government agencies
    • Military experience
    • Active security clearance
