    Peraton is seeking a senior leader with deep understanding of the NOAA/NASA community and the proven ability to meet mission needs.  The position focus will be on program execution and business growth. High level skills as a Senior Program Manager, to be applied across the Peraton Space, Intelligence and Cyber Business Sector with emphasis on GOES-R program execution.


    The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for providing day-to-day program requirements that include customer engagement and program execution including the delivery of revenue and operating income objectives.


    Position is located in Greenbelt MD with travel required within the national capital region.


    • Executes and directs the GOES-R program within the scope, goals, milestones and deliverables.  Determines work schedules, set priorities and ensures all processes and procedures are performed in support of work activities. Directs and monitors work performance in order to meet/exceed customer requirements. Ensures work performed meets/exceeds cost, schedule, performance and quality requirements.
    • Proactively manages changes in scope, implement processes to quickly and effectively respond to task orders, identifies potential risks, develop solutions, devise contingency plans, and communicates success criteria.
    • Directs the work activities of GOES-R employees and subcontractors at various geographical sites.
    • Maintains and promotes collaborative customer relationships. Coordinates work tasks with customer representatives. Keeps customer informed on status and progress of assigned tasks. Coordinates program reviews and directs the preparation of status and progress reports.
    • Participates in developing new business opportunities. Supports development of marketing plans and proposal preparation. Defines work statements, staffing requirements and cost analysis for ECPs/proposals.
    • Establishes and monitors financial controls to adhere to program budgets. Maintains program cost estimates and accounting records. Monitors budget expenditures and supports the preparation of budget plans and justifications.
    • Performs other duties as required.



    • Bachelor of Science in Software, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
    • 15 or more years of government contracting experience with significant emphasis in the NOAA/NASA community
    • 5 - 10 years’ NASA/NOAA experience within the National Capital Region
    • 5 - 10 years’ experience in managing EVMS requirements
    • Working knowledge of TT&C, Mission Management, Flight Dynamics, HW integration and maintenance 
    • Individual must have excellent management, communication, organizational, and motivational skills
    • Community recognized reputation for technical excellence, leadership, customer focus, and business growth.



    • Twenty or more years government(NASA/NOAA) industry experience
    • Master’s degree in Engineering or Management
    • Working Knowledge of EVMS best practices
    • Experience with large software engineering, integration, launch, operations, maintenance and sustainment efforts
    • Excellent business development acumen with proven success very highly desired



    Current/active DoC or DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance. An active TS/SCI security clearance is highly desired.
