  • Overview

    Peraton’s Corporate Program Finance Organization is seeking a Finance Manager for our Melbourne, FL office. The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial performance of the business and oversight of a team of program financial analysts who oversee day-to-day financial operations.  This position provides mentorship, oversight, and senior management communication of financial analysis throughout all phases of the program lifecycle, including proposals and closeout activity. 

    Responsibilities


    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team of finance leads and their direct reports, as needed.  Support may include completing lead/PFA duties during periods of surge.

    • Responsibility for improving day sales outstanding (DSO) and establishing and maintaining processes to resolve collection issues

    • Review quarterly Estimates To Complete with finance analysts and Accounting

    • Responsible for preparing and reviewing financial analysis functions such as budgeting, auditing, and forecasting across programs.

    • Ensure all inputs are timely and accurate and communication happens in a timely fashion with no surprises

    • Review and prepare advanced financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, cost-volume-profit analysis, and variance analysis.

    • Prepare monthly financial review to include in depth analysis of working capital

    • Respond quickly and timely to ad-hoc requests from various departments including Operations, FP&A, Business Development, and Contracts

    • Ensure each portfolio contract is run efficiently and within profit constraints

    • Participate in business acquisition process to ensure competitive, compliant, and timely bids.  Review pricing packages, evaluating risk and implementing internal profit guidelines

    • Ensure finance team functions in accordance with established internal policies/procedures and government regulations

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:



    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

    • 10+ years’ experience in a Finance Management position, or a commensurate combination of education, training, and experience.

    • 5+ years of experience supporting Government and/or Department of Defense customers

    • Experience with Costpoint 7

    • Strong ability to perform in a high paced environment and multitask

    • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

    • Strong time-management and organizational ability


    PREFERRED:



    • 5+ years of management experience overseeing individual performers

    • Experience with PeopleSoft, Costpoint, Cognos, and TM-1

    • Strong financial analysis skill set

    • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR
