We are seeking an Information Assurance Engineer in Herndon, VA., to support our Defense Threat Reduction Agency J9 CXQ customer.
Peraton’s efforts on behalf of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s J9 CXQ Division, provides software integration and development services to bring fused Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) data to assist DoD analysts in responding to tactical and strategic threats. Our activities assist in integrating, displaying, and operationalizing large amounts of data from multiple sources into a dynamic picture of the operational CWMD environment.
The IA Engineer will assist in providing the development, testing, integration, upgrades, deployment, and management of the Information Systems.
Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:
Knowledge critical infrastructures configuration
Knowledge of: SSE/architecture; design and development, configuration management; test and evaluation; verification/validation; deployment, ops, and maintenance; training; documentation preparation, approval, and delivery methods
Knowledge of cybersecurity processes and issues is strongly preferred
Experienced in Asset Management, Vulnerability Scanning
Experienced in Vulnerability Remediation, Secure Configurations support (i.e. DISA STIGS), Security Advisory notifications.
Ability to use the Microsoft Office productivity suite
Ability to use SonarQube
Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
