Peraton is actively seeking a Procurement Specialist based out of our Greenbelt, MD office. The successful candidate will work under general direction. Participate in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Demonstrate an understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards. Detailed knowledge and understanding of negotiation methods and techniques, manufacturing processes, industry standards, the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Prepare proposal requests consistent with the requirements of the contract. Develop new sources of supply based on quality product, on-time delivery and competitive pricing. Solicit and award purchase orders consistent with the requirements of the contract.
