  • Overview

    Peraton is looking for a mid-level VLSI Design engineer to work as part of a team to develop a new CPU, based in Rome, NY. 

    Responsibilities

    The Engineer will participate in all phases of the development from requirements analysis to digital implementation including Graphic Database System (GDS) generation through tape-out, and testing using Global Foundries 14nm LPP process. Specific duties may include:

    • Architecture analysis
    • RTL implementation and test benching
    • Logical synthesis
    • Floor planning
    • Clock tree design, place and route
    • Static timing analysis
    • SPICE simulation
    • Physical verification

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering etc,  and 4+ years of experience in three or more of the following: 
      • ASIC design
      • VHDL/Verilog
      • Linux
      • TCL scripting
      • GIT
      • Cadence EDA tools (Genus,Conformal, Innovus, Abstract, Tempus, Quantus, Virtuoso)
      • Mentor Graphics EDA tools (Calibre nmDRC/LVS/xRC, Modelsim/Questa)
      • Synopsys EDA tools (Design Compiler/HSPICE)
      • Modelsim (Questa)
      • Xilinx
      • 45, 32, 14 nm design principals
    • Team collaboration

    PREFERRED:

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to learn quickly
    • Self-starter

     

    SECURITY CLEARANCE:

     

    Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance and maintain the clearance; active Secret preferred.
