  • Overview

    Peraton is seeking a Network Technician (NOC/ Monitoring) to provide operational support for mission critical systems. This position is located in Welcome, MD.




    • Supports a 24x7 operational environment working day/night; rotating shift work is required.
    • Will operate, monitor and maintain UNIX/Windows based applications for customer.
    • Monitor Vsphere virtual machines during operation
    • Provide user account after hour support
    • Works closely with engineering staff to restore service and/or identify and correct system anomalies.
    • Logs application/system information as required during shift.
    • Monitors system backups, ensures logging is taking place.
    • Monitors network, system connectivity and troubleshoots outages.
    • Required to monitor hardware status; troubleshoot and/or replace parts/hardware as called upon.
    • Shift work is required.



    • Requires an AA-AS degree or (the equivalent work experience) with a minimum of 2 years experience in network operations.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience with UNIX/LINUX based and Windows based operating systems.
    • Minimum of 2 year experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 


    • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
    • Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks during system anomalies
    • DoD 8570 Compliance, CompTIA Security+ certification 


    This position requires the candidate to have a current TS/SCI security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
