    Peraton is actively recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Guam to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation and operation of Facilities systems at the Guam Remote Ground Terminal (GRGT).


    • Perform preventative maintenance on GRGT Facility Systems Equipment.
    • Apply working technical knowledge to solve complex problems not solved solely by reference to manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents in working on projects or components
    • Develop a working knowledge of the functions and operations of the operational equipment, systems and controls at GRGT
    • Perform tasks working as a member of a team with other Job Classifications providing help and assistance as required
    • Perform duties consistent with this classification with limited supervision and provide technical guidance to lower level classifications as required
    • Subject to working off shift, weekends and holidays when necessary
    • Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements
    • Perform other duties as required
    • Day shift work to include some, weekends, holidays and mandatory overtime as deemed necessary by management.



    • High School diploma (or equivalent) and 7+ years of experience in one of the major crafts (plumbing, painting carpentry, electrical, air conditioning, general contracting/construction management).
    • 2+ years’ experience with office computer use to include MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, Windows XP.
    • 2+ years’ experience in three or more of the following areas: electrical, HVAC, facility security systems, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
    • Must be able to lifting up to 50lbs, climbing antennas, climbing ladders, loud/high noise areas, dusty areas, confined spaces, outdoor work in extreme heat/cold/humidity, exposure to long periods in air conditioned spaces. Will also occasionally work in a general office environment.
    • Prior experience operating, maintaining, repairing, installing, adjusting and troubleshooting all types of air conditioning equipment including controls and electrical power to such equipment.
    • Prior experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Power switchgear, power distribution equipment and panel boards.
    • Must be able to operate a forklift, mobile aerial platforms, dehydrator, water blasters, and other facility related equipment.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
    • Must be able to pass physical examinations consistent with the Job Classification (check w/ Kristina Garcia if required or take out).
    • Prior experience with facility test equipment.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.


    • Active Secret security clearance.
    • Knowledge of maintaining UPS batteries and battery monitoring systems.
    • Must be motivated, safety minded, and demonstrate a team attitude.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.



    • This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. In order to obtain a Secret Clearance you need to be a US Citizen.
