We are seeking a Network Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support our mission critical customer. The selected candidate will be responsible for enterprise LAN/WAN engineering and integration activities across multiple site locations.
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Design and plan network communications systems, Conduct testing of network design.
Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Conduct analysis and provide specific detailed recommendation for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet customer needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network. Advise network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.
Monitor network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options.
Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
DoD 8570 IAT-3 certification (CISSP)
Cisco and/or Juniper certification
Current TS/SCI clearance with Poly required.
