    Peraton is seeking a proven professional for the role of Business Development Executive for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph and is based in Herndon, VA.

    The successful candidate develops knowledge of customers, understanding of competitors, and has an awareness of the effects of market dynamics within an assigned market sub-segment.  He/she will determine market trends and develop business cases that align customers’ needs/opportunities with Peraton’s capabilities and discriminators. 


    The successful candidate collaborates throughout the company to effectively communicate with a wide range of CIA customers, stakeholders, and industry peers; is integral to establishing trusted relationships between Peraton personnel and their peers within his/her external customer base; and enhances external customer knowledge and acceptance of Peraton’s products, solutions, and services.  Success in this role is ultimately measured by meeting and exceeding acquisition and financial targets aligned to company goals.


    • Identify, qualify, lead, and win new business opportunities supporting CIA. 
    • Develop and mature key relationships with the customer's organizations.
    • Develop and maintain a new business pipeline and forecast, and update the Peraton business development tracking system on regular a basis.
    • Develop and cultivate relationships with strategic teaming partners (prime and sub).
    • Support capture activities
    • Close collaboration with Lines of Business, marketing, finance, contracts, legal, and executive management to win new business and re-compete contracts.
    • Embrace the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily activities, and effectively communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teams.
    • Travel is required in support of trade shows, conferences, and customer/contracting office meetings as needed.



    • 13+ years of experience in technical and engineering services industry and/or experience with customer’s mission.   Also have expertise in the services market within the Intelligence Community (IC). 
    • Current understanding of client’s needs in order to align Peraton strengths and core values.
    • Must demonstrate high energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism and commitment.
    • Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clients.
    • Must be able to operate independently but still retain an enterprise focus.
    • Bachelor’s degree or degree in technical discipline (or the equivalent), with 15 years of professional experience.
    • Must have an active Top Secret/ SCI with polygraph.



    • Demonstrated success in sales and business development of professional service, engineering, or related business solutions with clients in the targeted agency.
