Responsibilities

Are you a recent (or soon-to-be) graduate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves connecting the dots, and wants a front-row seat to how large-scale federal health programs come together?

Peraton’s Health Sector is looking for an Associate Account Executive to join our Business Development team and help drive growth across our health portfolio.

This is a launchpad role. You’ll work alongside senior leaders, gain real exposure to the federal health market, and build skills in business development, client engagement, and strategic communications — all while leveraging the latest AI-powered tools to work smarter and faster.

What You’ll Do

  • Pipeline & CRM Management — Own the accuracy and currency of our Salesforce pipeline; enter, update, and QA opportunity data so leadership always has a clear picture of where we stand.
  • Executive Presentations & Briefings — Research, draft, and design compelling presentations and briefing materials for senior leaders, client meetings, and internal reviews.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence — Monitor federal health procurements, agency announcements, and competitor activity; distill findings into concise summaries for the BD team.
  • Meeting Coordination & Follow-Up — Prepare agendas, capture action items, and track follow-through for internal strategy sessions and external client engagements.
  • Administrative & Ad-Hoc Support — Assist with proposal logistics, event planning, data pulls, reporting, and other duties as required to keep the team running smoothly.
  • AI-Enabled Productivity — Leverage Microsoft 365 Copilot, generative AI tools, and automation to streamline workflows, analyze data, and produce high-quality deliverables faster.

What We Offer

  • A supportive, mission-driven culture where your work has real impact on federal health programs.
  • Mentorship from experienced Business Development and Account Management professionals.
  • Hands-on exposure to the full BD lifecycle — from opportunity identification through capture and proposal.
  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a 401(k) with company match.
  • Professional development resources, tuition assistance, and clear paths for career growth.

Career Growth & Advancement

Peraton is committed to developing future leaders from within. The Associate Account Executive role is designed as an entry point into a defined career progression within our Business Development organization:

  • Year 1–2 — Build the Foundation. Master pipeline operations, CRM discipline, and executive communications while building your network across the Health Sector portfolio. You’ll receive structured mentorship, regular performance feedback, and an individualized development plan.
  • Year 2–3 — Expand Your Impact. Take on greater ownership of capture support activities, client-facing interactions, and competitive assessments. High performers may be selected for Peraton’s BD Development Program or cross-functional rotations in Capture, Strategy, or Proposal Operations.
  • Year 3+ — Advance into Leadership. Demonstrated contributors will be positioned for promotion into Account Executive, Capture Analyst, or Business Development Manager roles — with increasing responsibility for revenue targets, client relationships, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years with BS/BA, 0 years with MS/MA. 6 years of experience with HS Diploma/equivalent can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and comfort adopting AI/automation tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar).
  • Willingness and ability to learn Salesforce for pipeline and opportunity management; prior exposure is a plus but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail in executive-level materials.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed.
