Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and forward thinking Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to play a critical role in ensuring the long term sustainment and readiness of FAA systems and support equipment. In this position, you will lead the full spectrum of lifecycle logistics activities—spanning acquisition, deployment, fielding, sustainment, and eventual system retirement. You will guide strategy, oversee execution, and collaborate closely with engineering, program management, and FAA Technical Operations stakeholders to maintain system reliability, optimize supportability, and reduce total lifecycle cost.

This role is ideal for a logistics professional who thrives in complex, mission critical environments and enjoys shaping sustainment frameworks that actively anticipate challenges such as obsolescence, replenishment needs, and evolving support requirements. The ILS Manager will serve as a key advisor in ensuring FAA systems remain safe, operationally available, and well supported across nationwide deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ILS strategies and plans for FAA acquisition, deployment, and sustainment programs.
  • Manage, monitor, and coordinate ILS execution across maintenance, supply support, training, technical data, support equipment, and configuration management.
  • Lead lifecycle logistics from concept through deployment, sustainment, and disposal, including tracking LRUs, bar‑coded components, and fielded configurations.
  • Identify obsolescent parts, determine replacements, evaluate lifetime‑buy needs, and resolve DMSMS risks.
  • Build replenishment and spares strategies supporting long‑term system supportability.
  • Conduct RMA analyses, logistics support analyses, trend analysis, and sustainment cost evaluations.
  • Coordinate with PMO to develop annual workload budgets and resource allocations for sustainment and obsolescence‑mitigation activities.
  • Oversee contractor logistics deliverables and ensure compliance with FAA standards, performance criteria, and sustainment objectives.
  • Provide risk assessments, readiness recommendations, and logistics input to FAA investment and acquisition decisions.
  • Deliver briefings, reports, and sustainment insights to FAA leadership and stakeholders.
