Summer 2027 Social Media & Marketing Analyst Intern

Peraton is seeking a Summer 2027 Social Media & Marketing Analyst Intern to support the County of San Diego Contract from June 2027 to August 2027.  

 

As a Social Media & Marketing Analyst Intern students help tell the story of how technology is improving County services. You'll develop content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X, benchmark performance against peers, and turn findings into presentations for leadership.

 

Peraton is the County of San Diego's IT and telecommunications partner, supporting the technology that County departments rely on to serve more than 3 million residents, from public health and social services to public safety and libraries. As a intern/co-op on the CoSD program, you'll work alongside Peraton professionals on real projects that modernize County services, including emerging work applying AI to how software is designed, built, and delivered.

 

Internship structure: Full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-week summer internship. Hybrid, based in San Diego, CA.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
• You are a current undergrad or graduate student and have completed progress or pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field
• Experience creating content or managing social accounts for an organization, club, or business
• Strong writing skills and proficiency with PowerPoint or Google Slides

 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with social analytics tools (LinkedIn/Meta analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
• Market research or industry benchmarking coursework
• Design or video skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut)
• Interest in government, tech, or public-sector communications

The rate / range per hour below represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

$22–25/hr
