Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Business Process Engineer in support of the DHA Solution Delivery Division (SDD). This position will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

This role involves working closely across program and supported organizations to promote cross-program coordination and technical collaboration to identify process improvements, implement best practices, reduce integration risk, standardize systems engineering processes, and support the successful delivery of program goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities, to assess program management planning, execution, and reporting processes for various projects that include requirements, software, sustainment, and advanced technology initiatives.
  • Analyze, organize, validate, decompose and maintain Government provided requirements documentation to support Government decision-making to ensure alignment of business process improvements with program goals and objectives.
  • Review requirements documentation, decompose high-level capabilities into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, resolve inconsistencies, improve completeness, and further develop into complete software requirements specifications.
  • Conduct requirements refinement activities preserving traceability between business needs, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, business rules, epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and resolve duplicate, conflicting, incomplete or ambiguous requirements, and perform impact analysis for proposed requirement changes.
  • Assist in planning and tracking requirements engineering activities through maintenance of an integrated project schedule.
  • Provide guidance and coordinate with requirements team and follow policies and practices to complete the development of epics and business rules.
  • Responsible for reviewing, refining, maintaining and updating requirements artifacts as directed by the Government.
  • Facilitate stakeholder working sessions, requirements workshops and technical reviews; ability to coordinate among senior level leaders in multiple organizations to obtain needed information.
  • Developing new processes, as needed, and ensuring that the processes are reliable, repeatable, and sustainable.
  • Documenting and improving existing processes and creating Standard Operating Procedures for each project type.
  • Develop process maps, flowcharts, and documentation to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate all executive meetings and special projects to the Government and the PEO MS/CIO J-6 Business Operations regarding product line.
  • Own/manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and track ticket submissions and integration into the IMS.
  • Proactively and continuously monitor project risks so project stays on schedule.
  • Provide stakeholder communications that are clear, concise, fact-based and delivered according to specific meetings and CDRL requirements.
  • Prepare monitoring reports including but not limited to Interim Progress Reports (IPR), Quad Charts, and Quarterly updates to the Annual Performance Plan.
  • Provide subject matter expertise support to the SDD Requirements Development and Requirements Management efforts as required by the Government lead.
  • Utilize SDD recommended tools and ensure compliance with Federal, DOD and SDD policy, plans, processes, standards and requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive knowledge and execution of Configuration Management functions (Planning and Management, Status Accounting, Audit and Verification, Configuration Identification and Change Management). Engage all stakeholders to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction with delivery and management of the product line.  

Skills

  • Strong project management experience, risk management, project documentation, MS Project, and creating/managing integrated master schedules.
  • Risk management, change management and developing/managing project schedules and integrated master schedules.
  • Experience with business process management (BPM) tools and software.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple process improvement initiatives simultaneously.
  • Thrives in a dynamic fast paced environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; or 16 years of experience with a high school diploma. 
  • Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Strong knowledge of business process engineering methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and modeling software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Travel as needed to support conferences and/or as requested by Government client.
  • Ability to Obtain ITIL4 and PMP certification.
  • Must be a US Citizen. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements.
  • Experience with AI-assisted capabilities a plus.  
  • Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Health subject matter requirements experience a plus.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
