Project Coordinator

Peraton seeks a Project Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative, technical, and project coordination support for the NASA Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract. This position is remote, with travel to other NASA locations as needed.

 

As prime contractor, Peraton is responsible for the development, operation, maintenance, sustainment and systems engineering of NASA’s worldwide satellite communication networks. In this position, you will conduct the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned tasking within the Chief Systems Engineering Organization. You will be an integral part of a world class team that builds and ensures NASA’s space-ground communications are reliable and meet mission requirements.  

 

RESPONSIBLITIES

This position will be responsible for the following:

• Meeting & Program Coordination
  • Manage Development Department meeting agendas and organize meeting logistics, including reserving conference facilities and scheduling teleconferences as required.
  • Coordinate with representatives from NASA, the SENSE program, and other Peraton civil space programs for all jointly held meetings, providing data as required.
  • Record, organize, and track meeting actions, recommendations, decisions, and any dissenting opinions through to closure.
  • Coordinate the development and review of directives used to document decisions.
  • Provide status reports on upcoming agenda items, open actions, and directives.
  • Maintain electronic records of presentations, action closures, and recommendations.
• Documentation & Configuration Management
  • Identify, control, and manage program documentation to ensure information is readily accessible, retrievable, and preserved, including supporting internal and external audit functions.
  • Provide configuration management support, including technical and graphical document preparation, process editing, data entry, export control, process audits, metrics, and database management; may author, review, and edit complex written and graphical technical materials such as system configuration studies, reports, and presentation graphics.
  • Ensure structured document labeling and perform the release of electronic copies of documentation.
  • Organize and maintain the SENSE Development Department document library, SharePoint web pages, lists, and other web pages.
  • Create and maintain distribution lists and distribute deliverables and documents to identified parties.
  • Conduct research within various program support databases to create reports.
• Administrative Support
  • Provide document preparation, calendar management, and general office management support.
  • Arrange travel and process expense reports, purchasing requests, and PCard procurement.
  • Provide general administrative support and routine secretarial functions.
• Project Coordination Support
  • Support execution toward financial, delivery, and contractual performance targets for assigned projects.
  • Support mechanisms for monitoring project progress and problem-solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.
  • Support coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensure all necessary documentation reviews and approvals are received.
  • Assist with the development of project presentations.
  • Perform vendor management and coordination functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

• Degree in business management, finance, accounting, or related field and additional experience as follows: BS/BA degree & 2 years’ experience, AS/AA degree & 4 years’ experience; In lieu of degree, 6 years of related experience is allowable. 
• 2+ years of project management or finance support.
• 2+ years of experience working on cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience using Microsoft tools such as Project, Excel and Word.
• Experience working in SharePoint and Google Workspace.
• Security clearance - this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance thereafter.
• Must be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.

 

DESIRED: 

• Experience in one or more related areas of expertise within civil space or a related industry.
• Experience with calendar management for technical and management teams.
• Experience organizing technical reviews and meetings and preparing detailed minutes for leadership.
• Experience with AI tools.

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
