Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a driven, results-oriented Pricing Manager who thrives in a fast-paced proposal environment and leads with energy, ownership, and a winning mindset.

This is a hybrid position for a self-starter who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves on complex cost models as they are mentoring a team, collaborating across functions, and briefing senior leadership. If you are passionate about winning business, committed to delivering excellence, energized by working alongside talented teams, and excited about leveraging AI and innovation to push the boundaries of what's possible in pricing this role is for you.

As a Pricing Manager, you will lead the development of compliant, accurate, and competitive pricing solutions in support of complex proposal efforts across the enterprise. You will partner closely with Contracts, Business Operations, Procurement, Program and Capture teams, and Finance to deliver high-quality pricing and cost volume products — all while managing and developing a small, high-performing team of pricing professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee pricing activities across multiple concurrent proposals, driving quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery with a proactive, get-it-done approach.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2–3 pricing analysts, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-energy team culture where every member is set up to succeed.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between the pricing team and the Director, ensuring transparency, alignment, and timely escalation of risks or issues.
  • Collaborate enthusiastically with cross-functional partners — Contracts, Finance, Capture, and Program teams — to prepare pricing models and complete cost volume deliverables for proposals of varying size and complexity.
  • Consolidate and review cost estimates from all contributing organizations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with RFP instructions and corporate policies.
  • Analyze RFPs with a sharp eye for detail to identify pricing-related requirements, assumptions, and evaluation criteria that inform a winning strategy.
  • Develop and manage pricing timelines, review cycles, and submission schedules — keeping the team on track and holding milestones with discipline and urgency.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, compelling pricing briefings to senior leadership for review, approval, and strategic decision-making.
  • Create and distribute subcontractor pricing templates consistent with solicitation requirements and overall pricing strategy.
  • Ensure all pricing deliverables comply with FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and customer-specific guidelines — no shortcuts, no exceptions.
  • Actively support customer fact-finding, audits, negotiations, and pricing-related discussions as a confident, knowledgeable representative of the team.
  • Lead the development of pricing strategy aligned to win themes, competitive positioning, and customer priorities, always thinking about what it takes to win.
  • Perform financial analysis and cash flow development in support of proposal and business case requirements.
  • Continuously develop, maintain, and enhance pricing tools, models, and best practices — always looking for smarter, faster, better ways to deliver.
  • Champion the exploration and adoption of AI-driven tools and innovative technologies to modernize pricing processes, improve efficiency, and sharpen competitive positioning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in pricing, cost modeling, and proposal development.
  • Strong working knowledge of Government contract types, including T&M, CPAF, CPFF, and FFP.
  • Thorough understanding of the FAR and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent proposals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality.
  • Experience developing and executing pricing strategy tied to competitive positioning and win themes.
  • Experience with financial analysis and cash flow development.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to clearly convey complex pricing concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership and the Director.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and keep a team moving in the right direction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including modeling, formulas, and data analysis.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the Federal contracting environment, ideally supporting defense, intelligence, or national security missions.
  • Prior leadership or team oversight experience within a pricing or finance function.
  • Familiarity with rate structures, cost accounting, and financial planning.
  • Experience with proposal management systems, pricing tools, or automated costing solutions.
  • ProPricer experience is a plus.
  • Interest in and familiarity with AI tools, automation, or emerging technologies as applied to pricing, finance, or proposal development.
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI security clearance is a plus.
