Responsibilities

Peraton requires Configuration Managers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

  • Maintain and enforce CMDB data governance policies, CI naming standards, and CI lifecycle states from onboarding through retirement.
  • Monitor and improve CMDB Health metrics-completeness, compliance, correctness, staleness, orphaned CIs, and duplicates-using ServiceNow CMDB Health dashboards.
  • Investigate and remediate data quality defects, driving root-cause fixes at the data source rather than the individual record.
  • Align CI classes and relationships to the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) across the Foundation, Design, Manage, and Technical Services domains as applicable.
  • Partner with service owners to model business services, application services, and their supporting infrastructure.
  • Coordinate and validate CI population through ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and approved integrations and import sets.
  • Reconcile authoritative data from multiple sources into a single trusted CI record.
  • Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB) by preparing CI baselines, documenting configuration changes, and tracking deviations.
  • Partner with the Change Management process to ensure CI relationships and impact analysis are accurate before changes are approved.
  • Produce and maintain configuration management documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities by ensuring CMDB records accurately reflect the accredited system boundary.
  • Provide CI and dependency data supporting audit, inventory, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA degree, 6 years with a MS/MA degree, 3 years with a PhD
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Experience developing CMDB data quality strategies, health metrics, remediation workflows, and governance controls.
  • Expertise in CI population, reconciliation, Discovery, Service Mapping, Import Sets, and IRE.
  • Expertise applying CSDM to model business services, application services, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Experience leading Change and Configuration Management, CCB activities, CI baselines, and impact analysis.
  • Strong documentation, mentoring, and reporting skills supporting audits, inventory, RMF/ATO, and compliance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of IT experience, including 2+ years working directly with the ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB fundamentals: CI classes, relationships, IRE, CMDB Health, and Discovery.
  • Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and service mapping concepts.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification, ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Fundamentals, plus a solid grasp of the Configuration Management process.
  • Strong analytical skills for data quality investigation and remediation, driving issues to root cause.
  • Ability to document processes clearly and communicate data quality status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with on-premises or air-gapped ServiceNow deployments rather than SaaS or cloud instances.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS-Discovery, or CIS-ITOM.
  • Experience integrating third-party or authoritative data sources into the CMDB.
  • Familiarity with ITAM, SAM, and HAM, and the relationship between assets and CIs.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
