Responsibilities

The Senior Operational Intelligence Planner is responsible for developing, integrating, and operationalizing threat-informed intelligence to support mission planning, training, and readiness across joint and multinational environments. This role provides expert analysis of adversary capabilities and intent, translating intelligence into actionable operational insights for senior leadership and mission partners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain operational environment (OE) assessments aligned to combatant command priorities.
  • Integrate all-source intelligence (SIGINT, HUMINT, OSINT) into mission planning and operational scenarios.
  • Support joint training exercises and readiness events through threat-informed planning.
  • Provide intelligence briefings and decision support to senior military and government leadership.
  • Coordinate with G2/J2 elements, interagency partners, and coalition stakeholders.
  • Contribute to collection planning and targeting processes to support operational objectives.
  • Produce strategic and operational intelligence products, including threat assessments and scenario analysis.
  • Ensure alignment with DoD and IC standards, doctrine, and security requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
  • Experience supporting combatant command or operational-level planning environments.
  • Knowledge of all-source intelligence integration and analysis.
  • Proven ability to brief senior leaders and produce analytic products.
  • Experience working in joint, inter-agency, or multinational environments.
  • Active TS/SCI with current polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting INDOPACOM, CENTCOM, or Special Operations missions.
  • Familiarity with targeting methodologies (e.g., F3EAD).
  • Experience supporting large-scale training environments (e.g., combat training centers).
  • Experience with international security, policy, or regional expertise.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
