SENIOR Flaps and Seals professional
Peraton is seeking a Senior Flaps and Seals Professional with experience in FBI OTD tactical operations in the Quantico, Virginia area. For more than 30 years, we’ve partnered with customers to advance critical missions across the globe - providing innovative, reliable solutions for Intelligence, Defense, and Federal Civilian Agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to coordinate, plan, and execute operations involving court authorized search and access of sealed or packaged items.
- Able to accommodate frequent and extended travel to execute search operations, to include nights, weekends and/or holidays, often with only 24-48 hours’ notice.
- Resolve unforeseen issues and difficult problems to facilitate the operations under strict time constraints.
- Obtain and stay current on the knowledge and understanding of the technology, expertise, and manpower necessary as it relates to packaging and sealing technologies.
- Utilize knowledge and skill to develop new methods, approaches, and procedures, and/or to adapt or modify equipment, to meet the Customer’s complex operational needs, as well as to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems during complex operations.
- Inspect and test equipment/systems to ensure that technical integrity is maintained, and if deficiencies are detected propose appropriate corrective action.
- Manage the disassembly and assembly of complex tools and equipment, as well as their configurations, to derive optimum benefit for operational environment.
- Work with Special Agents across all Divisions and field offices. Candidate will work with FVEY partners, inter-agency and other commercial vendors as well.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing a wide range of missions that the unit oversees.
- Responsible for writing operational plans, assessing risks, mitigating potential threats to the mission and working within a team environment
- Evaluate the feasibility of implementing new technologies with current technologies and tools.
- Evaluate commercially available equipment for procurement.
- Work closely with vendors for the purpose of gathering information on equipment specifications, costs, etc.
- Attend conferences, seminars, and contractor visits regarding current and emerging state-of-the-art techniques and equipment.
- Provide guidance and training to new and/or onboard employees to prepare them for search and access operations.
- Teach technically oriented in-service classes.
- Develop and help maintain standard operating procedures for search and access of sealed or packaged items.
- Must be willing and able to drive Customer vehicles, to include larger truck vehicles (no CDL requirement) that are utilized by the unit.
