Responsibilities

Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. Designs interfaces and brings system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Involved in the analysis of unstructured and semi-structured data, including latent semantic indexing (LSI), entity identification and tagging, complex event processing (CEP), and the application of analysis algorithms on distributed, clustered, and cloud-based high-performance infrastructures. Implements DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory. Performs security hardening, patching and server certificate updates. Works with Cloud technologies. Develops documentation for System Installation Plans and System Administration Guides.

 

Experience with software development, either an open-source enterprise software development stack (Java/Linux/Ruby/Python) or a Windows development stack (.NET, C#, C++). Experience with data transport and transformation APIs and technologies such as JSON, XML, XSLT, JDBC, SOAP and REST. Experience with Cloud-based data analysis tools including Hadoop and Mahout, Acumulo, Hive, Impala, Pig, and similar. Experience with visual analytic tools like Microsoft Pivot, Palantir, or Visual Analytics. Experience with open source textual processing such as Lucene, Sphinx, Nutch or Solr. Experience with entity extraction and conceptual search technologies such as LSI, LDA, etc. Experience with machine learning, algorithm analysis, and data clustering.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an area relevant to the position with 12 or more years of relevant experience, or minimum of 10 years with a Master's degree or a minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. 4 years additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
  • Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active
  • Experience work with the AWS Cloud (EC2s, S3, RDS, ElasticCache)
  • Python scripting, Pandas, Excel, Jupyter Notebooks
  • Experience with collection and analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • AL/ML Experience
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
  • Work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with OpenShift, Keycloak, PostgreSQL, Ansible, Wildfly
  • Experience working with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Wildfly, Docker, Maven
  • Leading an Agile scrum team
  • Managing multiple environments (dev, test and prod)
  • Current CI poly

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
