Responsibilities

We are seeking a versatile SAP S/4HANA Analytics Developer professional who can bridge the gap between complex data modeling and functional business requirements. This role is ideal for someone who can navigate the technical depth of SAP HANA and CDS views while maintaining a strong focus on end-user experience through BOBJ Web Intelligence.

 

Whether you are a seasoned developer with expertise in calculation views and report scheduling, or an emerging functional analyst skilled in requirements gathering and documentation, you will play a critical role in building and supporting our analytics ecosystem. The ideal teammate will not only possess strong SQL skills and analytical rigor but will also bring a proactive approach to functional testing and UAT support. If you have a background in S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, Analysis for Office, or a foundational understanding of SAP BW, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to apply those "nice-to-have" skills as we build out high-performance, end-to-end analytical solutions

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Technical Development & Data Modeling

  • HANA Modeling: Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA calculation views (both graphical and scripted) and table functions to support complex data requirements.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Build and maintain BOBJ Web Intelligence (WEBI) reports, including managing prompts, variables, and scheduling, while sourcing data from universes or direct HANA views.
  • CDS Architecture: Develop and implement SAP CDS views, utilizing annotations, joins, and associations to create efficient data models for consumption.
  • Performance Optimization: (Nice-to-have) Enhance data delivery via Analysis for Office (AO) and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, ensuring live connections and KPI tiles perform at peak efficiency.

Functional Analysis & Project Lifecycle

  • Requirements Gathering: Act as the translator between business stakeholders and technical teams to define clear, actionable analytics requirements.
  • Documentation: Create detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and maintain field mapping logic to ensure data integrity from source to report.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead the functional testing phase by drafting test cases, executing tests, logging defects, and providing hands-on support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • End-to-End Problem Solving: Leverage SQL skills and analytical thinking to troubleshoot data discrepancies and technical bottlenecks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree  and 5 years of experience OR High School diploma with  9 years of experience.
  • SAP HANA Modeling: Proven experience building complex calculation views, scripted views, and table functions.
  • SAP BOBJ – Web Intelligence: Expert-level report building, including advanced prompts, variables, and sourcing from HANA views or universes.
  • SAP CDS Views: Strong ability to design basic CDS views, including the use of annotations, joins, and associations.
  • Report Management: Experience with report scheduling and distribution within the BOBJ environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior support for the CDC or other Federal Government programs.
  • Active CDC Clearance is a significant plus.
  • Experience working in highly regulated public-sector environments.
  • Familiarity with KPI tiles, Fiori analytical apps, and CDS analytical queries.
  • Experience with live connections to HANA/CDS and performance tuning for workbooks.
  • Foundational understanding of BW objects and how they integrate with the broader SAP landscape.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
