Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking experienced professionals across multiple leadership and technical disciplines to support a large-scale state government IT services program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven environment delivering enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and operational excellence.

 

This effort focuses on delivering a comprehensive mainframe solution, including hosting, infrastructure management, disaster recovery, and security compliance within a managed services environment. The program supports a complex, high-availability enterprise platform that enables critical, large-scale operations and services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Program Manager (Senior Leadership) Overview:
Serves as the executive leader with full accountability for customer mission success, account growth, and overall program performance.
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Required)

 

Senior Project Manager (Service Delivery Lead) Overview:
Responsible for day-to-day service delivery execution, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Required)

 

Chief Architect Overview:
Leads enterprise architecture strategy and innovation, driving modernization and adoption of emerging technologies.
Location: Harrisburg, PA preferred or telework

 

Information Security Manager / Chief Security Architect Overview:
Serves as the senior cybersecurity leader responsible for compliance, risk management, and security architecture.
Location: Harrisburg, PA preferred or telework

 

Senior IT Operations Manager Overview:
Leads enterprise IT operations and service management across infrastructure and service delivery functions.
Location: Harrisburg, PA preferred or telework

 

Transition Project Executive Overview:
Leads transition efforts from incumbent providers, ensuring seamless service delivery and successful program startup.
Location: Harrisburg, PA preferred or telework

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications will vary slightly depending on the role level and area of focus. Candidates should meet a combination of the following:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with requirements varying based on the role level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise IT environments, service delivery, or large-scale programs
  • Experience with ITIL-based service management processes and frameworks
  • Program or project management experience supporting complex initiatives
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customer leadership
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture depending on role alignment
  • Experience supporting Service Level Agreements and performance-based delivery models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting executive-level interactions
  • Ability to lead or support geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced environment

Role-Specific Considerations May Include:

  • Program leadership, customer engagement, and account growth strategy
  • Day-to-day service delivery and incident management
  • Transition and program startup execution
  • Enterprise architecture and emerging technology strategy
  • Cybersecurity compliance, risk management, and RMF/NIST frameworks
  • IT operations management across infrastructure and network environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional certification
  • ITIL certification or experience working in ITIL-aligned environments
  • CISSP, CISA, Security+, or similar cybersecurity certifications
  • Experience supporting state or local government customers
  • Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and Risk Management Framework
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • ServiceNow or JIRA experience
  • Experience working in multi-vendor or multi-supplier environments
  • Mainframe experience, including IBM ZSeries or similar environments, is strongly preferred across multiple roles

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
