Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Onboarding, Training and Compliance Specialist to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement onboarding frameworks integrating personnel access, policy acknowledgements, required certifications, and role-based training.
  • Coordinate delivery of mandatory training (security, compliance, operational readiness) aligned to transition schedules and program milestones.
  • Maintain training plans, attendance records, certification logs, and compliance documentation in authorized repositories.
  • Track workforce readiness and compliance metrics (training completion, credentialing, policy adherence) and report status to leadership.
  • Identify training/compliance gaps and coordinate corrective actions with functional leads, HR, security, and program management.
  • Support audits, inspections, and governance reviews by providing auditable onboarding/training records and evidence.
  • Produce readiness dashboards, compliance reports, and executive briefings; recommend improvements to training and onboarding processes.
  • Manage vendor/contractor training engagements and ensure quality/delivery per SLAs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education / Certification: Candidate must meet ONE:
    • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Workforce Development; OR
    • SPHR certification; OR
    • CISSP certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in onboarding, training coordination, compliance, or workforce readiness roles—preferably supporting DoD or cleared environments.
  • Skills: Learning program design, LMS administration, training record management, compliance reporting, stakeholder coordination, and senior‑level briefings.

Desired / Preferred

  • Prior DoD/Army/ARNG PMO or transition experience
  • Familiarity with DoD training/certification frameworks and RMF access requirements
  • Experience with LMS platforms (Skillsoft, Cornerstone, SharePoint), reporting/dashboard tools, and audit support

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
