Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a Systems Administrator  -Lead

 

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of documentation and design professionals, providing guidance, task direction, performance feedback, and workload prioritization.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to gather and understand complex technical information.
  • Create, review, and update user manuals, product guides, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Design and incorporate graphics, illustrations, infographics, and other visual elements to improve clarity, usability, and user engagement.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with U.S. Army regulations, organizational standards, and maintains a consistent, professional appearance.
  • Proofread, edit, and format documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Organize and maintain document repositories, version control, permissions, and documentation workflows.
  • Convert technical documentation into multiple formats such as PDF, HTML, and online help systems.
  • Stay current with industry and Army best practices related to documentation, knowledge management, and graphic design.
  • Assist in documenting, refining, and standardizing internal processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely document delivery, updates, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Promote effective communication, resolve team‑level issues, and ensure alignment with mission objectives and service‑level expectations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a technical, military, or IT environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical information and user‑friendly documentation.
  • Ability to balance hands‑on production work with team oversight and administrative responsibilities.
  • Organizational and time‑management skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and team priorities.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience, may have lead experience
  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • Security+ Certification

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
