This position provides senior-level technical leadership and advisory support to Government stakeholders, contributing to the integration and advancement of complex, mission-critical systems operating across organizational and national boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
The Expert-Level Systems Engineer will:
- Lead and mentor Junior, Mid, and Senior-level Systems Engineers in all aspects of systems engineering including: requirements engineering, solutions engineering, integration, scheduling, testing, maintainability, and operational analysis with a focus on commercial product and data workflows across the NSG, ASG, and federal agencies.
Lead the planning and analysis of user requirements, architectures, workflows, procedures, and system challenges to improve or automate existing capabilities.
Conduct requirements traceability and assess cloud service capabilities, workflow processes, and scheduling constraints.
Advise the Government on proposed solution design changes based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.
Assist in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into defined system and capability requirements and solutions.
Support the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and execution programs.
Lead and support systems integration activities.
Assist in leading Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.
Contribute to strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Provide expert-level guidance aligning vision, strategy, plans, requirements, processes, and capability development efforts.
Operate at the level of integrating multiple Major System Acquisitions across organizational, agency, departmental, and national boundaries.
