Responsibilities

We are seeking a Junior Systems Architect to help design and develop technology solutions that support complex application environments and enterprise initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to the architecture of applications, APIs, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services to meet user requirements while aligning with strategic goals and the Enterprise Architecture.

This position is ideal for early-career professionals who want to grow their architecture skills while working on modern systems and emerging technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and document solution architectures, ensuring traceability to Enterprise Architecture and enterprise requirements.

  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and operational problems to automate or improve existing systems.

  • Evaluate system capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Recommend and develop updates to solution architecture designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.

Location: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or 4 additional years of relevant Systems Architect experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 0–6 years of architecture-related experience in government or industry environments.

  • TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts, processes, tools, and languages.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
